Description
Natural ß-hydroxy acid, exfoliating, antimicrobial and anti-acne active, contributes significantly to cell regeneration and skin renewal, acts against microbes involved in acne formation. It is a natural and gentler alternative to synthetic salicylic acid, a standardised extract from black willow bark with proven efficacy, ideal for clear, smooth and younger-looking skin.

EFFICACY TESTS
- Cellular Renewal Assay
- Provided better cellular renewal than the 1% synthetic salicylic acid; showed a 26% increase, while the synthetic showed a 22% increase.
- High Resolution Skin-Imaging Assay
- Improved skin density by 36.72% after 24 hours and after 4 weeks improved density by 32.41%.
- Anti-microbial Assay
- The results of the antibacterial assay indicated significant activity against all of the gram-positive bacteria tested with minimum inhibitory concentrations ranging from 0.1 to 5.0 mg/ ml.

I have been using the Rejuvenating Toner recipe, combination-oily skin with a few small adaptations, for at least 7 years and I declare myself absolutely in love with it. It is exactly the toner my complexion needs. The product salicylic acid BHA is a basic component of the recipe, being an exfoliating, antimicrobial and anti-acne active that contributes significantly to cell regeneration. I didn't even know there was such a thing, I probably wouldn't have been able to create the anti dandruff lotion without it, as I said in other reviews, I'm not good at formulating and creating recipes by myself, the recipe part here is a real help! I'm thinking of trying it as an exfoliating serum or treatment, also a recipe here.

Very good in for sensitive scalp with seborrheic dermatitis. It significantly reduces dandruff and calms the scalp. I use it to make anti-dandruff lotion. Must have!
