Hello Isabel, The secret and at the same time the success of this recipe lies in the combination of the basic ingredients. The recipe is formulated using surfactants which, in the case of this recipe, cannot be substituted for the shampoo base.

Hello! Could I use the shampoo base instead of the tenside? And if yes, then how could I reformulate the recipe with the other ingredients? Thank you.

Hello Isabel, Tenside lauryl has a viscosity enhancer role in tenside preparations. Being present in a rather high percentage, replacing it would negatively affect the optimal viscosity of the preparation.

Hello! The SCS tenside in the recipe falls under sulfates but is milder than SLS.

Hello! It can be done, but we do not recommend the proposed replacement, it would result in a shampoo with less cleaning power and much reduced viscosity.

Hello! Yes, you can add, in phase C, the dosage according to the directions on the product sheet. Decrease the water dosage in phase B accordingly.

Hello! In principle it can be substituted, but coconut surfactant does not have the same washing power as SCS, so the shampoo will be less effective. Also be careful with the dosage of lactic acid, which needs to be low due to the pH difference between the two tensides.

Hello! We do not have a replacement for Marine-Z with similar properties. Decalactant could be considered but that is more useful in anti-mold applications.
