It's a very effective non-lipid humectant, very good in moisturizing products, it's a good alternative to vegetable glycerin, which is sticky, and in a micellar water, face serum or toner, it would give a much more unpleasant feeling.

I was still using glycerin as a moisturizer in my cream recipes. I have read that Sodium PCA and Propanediol are more effective and purchased them to see the difference. And yes, the cream absorbs faster into the skin and I like the feel better

Il est parfait pour dissoudre et solubiliser les actifs en poudres, l acide hyaluronique, les acides, la Guar cationique etc ainsi que les polymères gommes. Le propanediol est pour moi plus humectant que la glycérine et moins collant il ne laisse pas de film qui peluche sur la peau. Je l achète en 1 litre et le rapport qualité/prix est vraiment avantageux.

Indeed, it's better than glycerine. It's not as sticky, it dissolves substances in it better (like azelaic acid) and it's not acne prone like glycerin is.
