Hello Camelia, can you remove the buttermilk from the recipe or replace it with coconut powder or aloe vera powder for example.

Hello! I tried the recipe and the cream is superb. I would like to know if the buttermilk powder could be replaced with aloe vera powder for another variation.

Hello! Is it possible to increase the percentage of vitamin C to 10% ?I also want to eliminate the buttermilk and add other active ingredients such as: coenzyme Q10, vitamin E, hyaluronic acid, possibly acmella in the oil phase. Do you think all these changes are possible?

Both versions are good, with xanthan the texture will be more gelatinous and with a co-emulsifier it will be denser. Have a nice day!

I did it this way. The texture is very ok. Do you think it would be better to add a co-emulsifier rather than increasing the xanthan gum? Thanks for your suggestions and kindness!

Hello! Dissolve the powder in a small amount of water first so it's easier to incorporate into the formula. Don't heat the water to no more than 40°C. Good luck!

Hello. Concerning the buttermilk powder, I tried to incorporate it in a floral water, but I noticed that it melts quite hard, forming at first small clumps. Is there any way for the buttermilk powder to mix more easily with the water? Eventual sa incalzesc puțin apa? Thanks!

The first time I made the cream I put 0.2% xanthan gum, only I didn't increase the percentage to the emulsifier and adjusted the water. Is it okay to use cream? Next time I will heed the directions.

Yes, you can use these dosages, possibly 0.3% xanthan. Adjust the amount of water in phase B accordingly. Good luck!

Should I put 0.2% xanthan gum and 8% emulsifier? Thank you!

If you worked with the exact dosages given in the recipe, the mixture should have come out fluid enough to pour into the bottle. Transfer the cream into the jar if you have one handy, or use a small bag to put the cream in and cut the corner of the bag through which you can then transfer the cream into the bottle.

Hello! You can put a higher percentage of xanthan gum, but we recommend to increase the dosage of emulsifier to 8%.

Hello! In this recipe, we do not recommend the proposed substitution because the pH of the aqueous phase (being low by witch hazel water) may prevent the formation of a stable emulsion. Generally speaking, where plain water is in the recipes, distilled/demineralized water can also be used; the important thing is that the water is microbiologically pure. Have a nice day!
