2. Add the contents of phase A to phase B with mixing, continue mixing until smooth.

3. Place the beaker in a bowl of cold water and blend until a smooth, glossy, homogeneous emulsion forms.

4. When the mixture has cooled to below 40°C, add the pre-mixed Phase C ingredients, and mix thoroughly until smooth.

Good evening, I liked this foundation when it was formulated with titanium paste, zinc oxide and zinc dioxide, where can I find the grams for them?taking into account that I have not saved the recipe.

Hello, reading the comments I found out that in the composition of the foundation is also titanium paste but in the recipe does not appear and I do not know when and how to add it. Can you help me with this information?

Hello! Interesting what you report, I have not received reports of this before. Cosgard as such does indeed have a slightly bitter or medicinal-like characteristic odor, but it is generally not noticeable in preparations, especially where essential oils are present. Given that you have not made ingredient substitutions and assuming that you have not had any of the ingredients altered respectively you have followed the recommendations on how to prepare, we also remain questionable about this situation.

Hello, I tried the recipe. I got through all the steps. The composition didn't cut, it looks great, except it smells very bad of sulfur. I haven't replaced a single element in the recipe. Could the preservative be to blame?

Thank you very much for your help. I was thinking of adding 1% cetearyl alcohol in phase A, and in phase C I will remove the acmela extract, increasing the water dosage accordingly and introduce 0.2 xanthan. Hope it will be fine :)

Hello! Formulating a foundation is a real challenge, making such a product requires a lot of testing. Your proposed recipe seems ok, you may also need a co-emulsifier or a stabilizing agent (xanthan for example) given the high dosage on titanium paste and the rather loaded C phase. Good luck!

Hello, Since I would like a foundation with more coverage, I have thought of the following formula and would like you to let me know if it is ok. Thanks! A: jojoba oil 10%, titanium paste 18%, zinc oxide 5%, em Olivem 1000 5%, B: silver/floral water (neroli, melissa) 51.3% C: hyaluronic acid LMW 0.3%, schisandra extract 0.5%, acmella extract 2%, yellow pigment (water soluble) 1.3%, red pigment 0.5%, black pigment 0.20%, makeup base (small) 5% D: essential oil 0,3%, cosgard preservative 0,6% The pigments I have are water soluble, that's why I put them in phase C

Hello! In principle you can use it. We do not know how much and in what concentration, it needs to be tested.

Hello. Due to the titanium dioxide content (in the titanium paste) this foundation gives a certain degree of protection. In principle, the formula can be supplemented with EsseSol, about 15% in phase B by decreasing the water dosage accordingly, but without tests we cannot assure you of the recipe's success.

Hello! How can I make this foundation have SPF at least 15 or more? When, how and how much Esse Sol is added to the 50 ml amount?

Hello Raluca. In order to get a lighter shade, you need to decrease the dosage on the pigments, we suggest using half of the indicated amounts, or even a third, depending on how light you want to get the shade.

Hello Silvia. Sorry for the unsuccessful cream, the cause is generally with the emulsification process: either the temperature of the phases is not optimal or it was not mixed properly. Phase B (the water) is poured in one go, but as slowly as possible, with mixing in between. If you have used too large a vessel, in which the composition is lost, this can also be a cause because the homogenization cannot be achieved evenly in this situation.
