1. Mix the liquid ingredients of phase B and sprinkle xanthan gum with vigorous mixing. Heat the ingredients of phase A and B separately up to 70°C in a heat-resistant beaker on a water bath. When both phases have reached the right temperature, remove from heat.

2. Add the contents of phase A to phase B with mixing, continue mixing until smooth.

3. Place the beaker in a bowl of cold water and blend until a smooth, glossy, homogeneous emulsion forms.

4. When the mixture has cooled to below 40°C, add the Phase C ingredients and mix thoroughly until smooth.

5. Measure pH and adjust if necessary.

6. Transfer the mixture to the dedicated container. Consistency will be final the next day.

To the composition cooled to hand temperature, add the ingredients of phase C one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each.
The cream thus obtained is transferred to the dedicated container. The consistency of the cream will be final on the following day.

Formula combines moisturising, repairing and emollient ingredients. With its light texture, it is suitable for normal, combination or oily skin and can be used for sensitive skin or as an aftershave.

Hello Iuliana, The pH value of the product is decisive in several aspects. The effect on facial skin and the effectiveness of the preservative in the pH range in which it can exert its effect.

Hello! It can be removed, but you can use lipophilic starch as a substitute. All the best!

Dear Elemental! What is the difference between cetyl alcohol and cetearyl alcohol? Where do we use one and the other? Thank you for your reply.

Monica, the water and oil cannot be mixed without the help of an emulsifier, and so you will not get a cream. We suggest that you turn to the creams in our recipe, which are tried and tested formulas with high chances of success even for beginners.

Thanks for the prompt reply. Yes, it is beeswax. Instead of it, could I use shea, mango or cocoa butter and add cosgard at the end?

Hello, Monica. The preservative is mandatory for creams that also contain water; without the preservative, the preparation can be used for up to a week. We don't know what kind of wax you have chosen, but if it is beeswax, keep in mind that it is difficult to obtain a stable emulsion and is not the optimal choice for an oily complexion.

Hello, I would like to make a moisturizer for oily skin containing 50 ml jojoba oil, 20 ml rose water, 10 gr wax, 2 capsules of vitamin e, 3-4 drops of essential oil. My question is if vitamin e is sufficient for preservation (and what validity do you think this formulation would have) or should I add cosgard, considering that there is also rose water in the composition. Thank you!

Hello. You can make the substitutions for the rosemary water and jojoba oil without any problems. As for the rest of the suggested changes, they are fine in principle, we suggest not increasing the total percentage of phase C. Good luck!

Hello, on this recipe can I replace the rosemary water with imortella water, and replace the jojoba oil with argan and almond? I want to leave out vegetable silicone , vege silicone, licorice extract, bisabolol and rice powder. I want to add hyaluronic acid and collagen.
