Hello Ancuța, The urucum powder is used as such, that is, it is added directly to this gel in phase B. The prepared gel will become clear on the second day, during which time it will turn bright orange and the urucum powder will settle to the bottom of the pot. When transferring the gel to the dedicated container, if disturbing, take care to avoid pouring the sediment into the container.

Hello . Powder is used as such or as a macerate? I tried it as such or not completely dissolve in gel . Thanks in advance for your answer. You are wonderful

Hello Isabela, To increase the foaming power of this shower gel, we recommend two ways: 1. The simple way: by adding 20% Decyl tenside, decreasing the percentage of Gentle Base tenside accordingly. By adding this ingredient, the shower gel will become frothier, but will lose its transparent appearance, becoming opaque, foamy. 2. By adding 10% Coco Betain surfactant to water, heating the mixture until the surfactant dissolves and cooling the mixture before adding to the recipe. In the same way the dosage of Gentle Base tenside will be decreased.

Hello! I prepared this shower gel and I like it very much, but I would like it to be a bit more foaming. Can you please tell me what changes I should make? Thanks!

Hello Cornelia, we only recommend Fragard Preservative for serums and emulsions (creams prepared by emulsification). In your case, we recommend you to use the shower gel prepared in the shortest possible time.

Hello! I accidentally added Fragard instead of Cosgard. Can it still be used?

It's okay to do this if the gel remains stable and you are happy with the foaming. Have a nice day!

Hello. I have noticed that if I add 1% xanthan or even a little over and if I add at the end of the composition, after putting a natural flavoring, it increases the viscosity of the gel. Is it ok to proceed this way as well? Thanks!

How much solid SCI tenside could I use and if it replaces another tenside or is added to this recipe? Thanks a lot!

Hello! Any variant of chlorophyll can be used for coloring. Increased viscosity is an issue for most mild surfactant-based formulations, and the essential oils used have considerable influence on the viscosity of such a preparation. The essential oils of lemongrass, lemon eucalyptus, litsea cubeba, lemon and others with a predominantly citrus odor are generally more guilty. Commercial gels, even organic ones, generally contain sulphates for better performance and viscosity. You can also use SCI solid tenside which is mild but gives better viscosity, but we don't have a sample recipe for this yet. Have an easy day!

Hello. Can chlorophyll (powder or liquid) be added? Also, what can be added so as to increase viscosity? I also added xanthan and glycerin, but when I added lemongrass essential oil it thinned the composition. I adjusted the amount of glycerin and drained the water. Also, if the essential oil is the culprit , what other essential oils would be suitable so as not to affect the viscosity? Or if you can please point me to another recipe with higher viscosity, if any. Or can't natural gels achieve the texture of the commercial ones?

Hello! The dosage indicated in the recipe for the preservative is the minimum necessary, we do not recommend using less, you risk spoiling the product in 1-2 weeks.

one last question of not much common sense... in a recipe/product, hygiene or care that I know for sure that I will use it in maximum 3 months (1,5 - 2 months max) can I increase the amount of preservative used? and expect to have no reaction on my skin, of course.. :) thank you so much - I promise to take a break !! :) :)

Dear Barbara, you can include it, but only small amounts, about 2-3% in total. Oils reduce the washing and foaming performance of this type of formulation. If you want to include more, you need an emulsifier, but the result will be a cream bath. Have a nice day!

Dear Elemental! Is it possible to include oils (e.g. avocado, almond) in this type of bath gel so that the two phases do not separate? If so, what additives are needed? Thank you!

hello, I have prepared both versions of shower gel (recipe above and recipe in which tenside consistency is replaced with tenside scs), both with added glycerin, the consistency is still quite liquid, what could I add for a gel consistency?

Dear Adrien, the essential oil can be reduced, replaced by another essential oil or fragrance, or even omitted. Have a nice day!

Dear Elemental! Is the essential oil replaceable? Can it be omitted or can the amount be reduced? Can a fragrance be used instead? Thank you!

Hello! Yes, you can also use lemongrass or even litsea - both have a citrus scent.
