Description

Amyris (Amyris balsamifera) is a woody-balsamic essential oil from Haiti, highly valued primarily as a natural fixative in perfumery and a nervous soother in aromatherapy. Its main applications include perfumery, where it acts as a base note and fixative in oriental, chypre, and masculine blends, and aromatherapy for relaxation and destressing. In cosmetics, it is utilized in applications that facilitate peripheral venous and lymphatic circulation, as well as for mature skincare. It is more affordable compared to other wood oils and offers excellent compatibility with most essential oil categories.

Possessing a slow volatility characteristic of base note essences and a high viscosity, its aroma is not perceived from the bottle in the same way as on the skin. Directly from the bottle, it may seem faint, yet on the skin, it reveals a beautiful woody-balsamic character with good persistence.

air Olfactory profile: Woody, balsamic, warm, with earthy notes, a slightly smoky character, and a sweet-vanilla background. Similar to Sandalwood but less creamy, featuring a spicy nuance.

Ingredients: Amyris Essential Oil (Amyris Balsamifera Bark Oil)
100% pure and natural, E.O.B.B.D. botanically and biochemically defined, full spectrum, unfractionated, undiluted

Questions and Answers (FAQ)

Q: Why can't I smell anything directly from the bottle?
A: Its high viscosity causes the aroma to release very slowly into the air. Directly from the bottle, the heavy molecules do not vaporize easily. However, once applied to the skin, warmed by body heat, or incorporated into various blends, it reveals itself beautifully.

Q: What is the difference compared to Santalum album (Sandalwood) in the Ellemental range?
A: They are completely different species botanically, with distinct profiles. Santalum album is creamy, sweet-milky, dominated by alpha-santalol, and is a highly precious essence. Amyris is drier, more peppery-earthy, and features different sesquitervenols (valerianol, eudesmol). While olfactorily similar, they are not identical. Amyris serves as a sustainable and accessible alternative that is valuable in its own right, not a low-quality substitute, but an oil with its own authentic profile.

It gives off a woody, balsamic fragrance, reminiscent of sandalwood, with a soothing, relaxing, uplifting and warming aroma, a general well-being oil with virtues and applications in aromatherapy and perfumery alike.

Sandalwood Amyris essential oil is ideal for perfume making, bringing woody, balsamic, musky notes. It is also a good perfume fixative, contributing to the persistence of the fragrance. I highly recommend.

It gives off a balsamic, woody, subtle musky fragrance, used as a fragrance essence with base notes and as a perfume fixative. In aromatherapy it is used as a lymphatic and venous decongestant, for its cardiotonic, balancing, positivizing, contemplative and relaxing effect.

It is my favorite of the woody scented essences and I use it as often as possible in men's products and aromatherapy. The latest series, however, seems to have a much weaker scent than what I knew from the previous ones.

Spicy, woody and of course very close to the scent of Sandalwood. Quieter and more economical, it can be used as an addition to extend and help the Sandalwood fragrance in a scented composition. However, not with the same strength and intensity as the original!

it is a very high quality oil, and more oily than others, that's why it doesn't drip through the dropper (which you can easily remove and use another tool to take it out) when I smelled it in the bottle, I didn't smell anything. which made me a little reluctant; I put a little on the back of my palm, and what a surprise! it gave off a strong, balsamic odor, the one in the description, which still lingers, and has persisted there for a long time; I have added it until now to a perfume based on plum palinca : ) )))) do not judge me, I had no alcohol at hand, and I tried to my father's reserve of palinca de Satu Mare; I added other essential oils (cinnamon, clove, clove, rose, rose, amber, balsam peru, sweet orient, rouge amere) and it came out a crazy perfume, which I shake daily, it is still maturing, I tried it a little and it smells insane, a little orient, a little winter, a little sweet and a little expensive : ) )))) it is unisex, and very persistent!

I have been a customer for 9 years, and the Natural Perfumes made using the Recipes on the site are absolutely insane! (I get bored quickly in general so I have so far made 3 fragrance recipes and have improvised 2 of them based on favorite scents but have kept the top notes.) I recommend!
