Hi Cornelia, If the marigold extract is viscous, semi-hardened, hardened, it needs to be warmed before adding to the cream. Otherwise it will not disperse evenly in the cream. Good luck!

Hello! Should the marigold extract be heated before adding it to the cream? I made this cream earlier, but the marigold extract did not disperse evenly in the cream. ?

Anti-aging hand cream, slightly modified according to the ingredients I had around the house. It's highly moisturizing, emollient, absorbs quickly, excellent for the cold season. It didn't come out yellowish like in your picture even though I put 0.2% Marigold Extract. A Murumuru butter 10% A Argan oil 6% A Argan oil 6% A Marula oil 6% A Emulsan 5% A Glycemul 2% A Beeswax 2% B Peppermint water 30% B Distilled water 27,8% B Propanediol 3% B Vitamin C Map 1% B Cosmetic Urea 4% C Marigold CO2 extract 0,2% C Vitamin E 0,4% C Panthenol 2% C Cosgard 0,6%

Dear Alexandra, we are happy to read your message and thank you for your appreciation! Regarding glycerin, you can replace it with propanediol or possibly sodium lactate, and glycem with cetearyl alcohol, same dosage. Good luck and good thoughts!

Your work cannot be appreciated enough. The website looks great and the recipes just keep coming. I have changed most of my cosmetics to home made ones and it's all thanks to you. I have also prepared products for friends and they have been incredibly pleased. Congratulations!!! I would also like to make this hand cream but I can't deal with some chemical compounds/ingredients. Could you please tell me, could I remove the Glycerin? Could I also replace the Glycem with another emulsifier? Thanks in advance!!!

Hello. Substitution is not possible, vegetable collagen is an ingredient that can be included only in the final phase (C), but used in a percentage of 5% can destabilize the emulsion. Instead of volatile vege-silicon you can also use a vegetable oil, with the caveat that the texture of the cream will be a little more oily.

Hello, Daniela. There is no definite method of calculation, the optimal percentages depend on the desired consistency and texture, and in general on all the ingredients of the formula. You should follow the guidelines for the dosage specified in each emulsifying agent's data sheet, and the multitude of recipe examples will help.

We have not tested the formula with other co-emulsifiers, but it may be possible to substitute.

Victoria Maria, infusions are more susceptible to microbial growth, and if we use such an ingredient, it is recommended to use a stronger preservative, such as Cosgard, and in a higher dose than in general.

I used concentrated rose infusion instead of rose water. The cream molded. Could this be the cause?

You can use the ascorbyl palmitate variant, included in phase A. Have a nice day!

Hello Agnes. You can use lavender water instead of rose water. The Fragard preservative with the floral water also perfumes the cream.
