Description

Coffee Butter is not a vegetable butter in the traditional sense, it is a cosmetic composition obtained by combining the oil pressed from roasted Arabica coffee beans with a stable vegetable base. It has a pleasant, creamy texture that is easy to apply, with a more agreeable sensory profile compared to pure coffee oil. It contains polyphenols and antioxidants, contributing to protecting the epidermis from external aggressors and improving the skin's barrier function. It can help tone more problematic areas, an aspect especially valued for sagging skin or areas with a cellulite appearance, through regular massage.

Characteristics

  • eco Culture: Conventional
  • water_do Appearance: Soft, creamy solid, beige-brownish color, characteristic coffee scent
  • verified_user Quality: Cosmetic grade, 100% natural

Usage & Synergies

For skin care, Coffee butter is recommended for the daily moisturizing routine and for areas with sagging skin or a cellulite appearance, where regular massage supports toning. It is a staple ingredient for scrubs, due to its rich texture that combines well with exfoliating granules.

For body care, it is used as a main ingredient in creams, emulsions, massage balms, or scrub products to add hydrating, toning, and emollient benefits.

Practical recommendations

  • Simple body butter: Apply as it is to clean skin, in the morning or evening.
  • Localized treatment: Apply coffee butter topically to maintain hydration and prevent flaking.
  • Scrub base: Add sugar or exfoliating granules for a scrub that cleanses the skin and supports healthy circulation.
  • General massage: Use as it is for a massage that promotes a radiant and healthy-looking skin.

Synergies in skin and hair care

For a firming body cream, the synergy with Chili Extract (thermal effect), Black Pepper Essential Oil, and Macadamia Oil (for stretch marks) supports the toning of problematic areas.

For a body scrub that rinses off well, add Coco-Betaine Surfactant or SLSA Surfactant alongside exfoliating granules into the portion applied to the skin.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Is it a native vegetable butter, like shea or cocoa butter?
A solid butter cannot be pressed from coffee beans, only a fluid oil. This coffee butter is a cosmetic composition consisting of a stable vegetable base (caprylic/capric triglycerides and saturated vegetable oils) combined with oil pressed from coffee beans, to form an unctuous mass that is easy to apply and has a milder scent.

Does it contain caffeine in significant amounts?
It contains caffeine and phenolic compounds, but in concentrations suitable for topical benefits (toning, antioxidant), not for significant systemic effects.

Is it suitable for oily skin?
Due to its caprylic/capric triglyceride base (similar to Caprilis), it is better tolerated by oilier skin types than typical dense butters. However, it should still be tested locally before regular use.

It works against cellulite in combination with epsom salt, but also simply to moisturize the skin. I alternate it with coconut oil. A wonderful smell.

It is my favorite butter! The smell makes me feel good. I love that it leaves the skin velvety soft, and the smell, not to mention the smell. Too bad you don't have it in larger quantities!
