Hello, This exfoliator, due to its large and coarse granulation, is more suitable for exfoliating the body skin. For the face, where the skin is more sensitive and thinner, recipes dedicated to the complexion are recommended.

Hello . What else can we add in this preparation so that it is not so dense and slightly sticky . I would like a more fluid scrub. Thanks in advance for your answer ❤️

Hello, Products without hydrophilic ingredients, i.e. formulated with oils, butters or dry ingredients, do not need a preservative. The minimum shelf life is 3 months and this can be extended by following the best practice guidelines.

Hello, We cannot recommend another butter with similar characteristics, consistency and odor. Perhaps the most suitable substitute butter would be ucuuba or cupuacu butter. As bacuri butter is dark in color and has a specific odor, keep in mind that any substitution will affect both the consistency and the final smell of the prepared product.

Hello! In this recipe with which butter could I replace the bacuri butter? (It is not in stock now, as far as I can see, and I am a beginner in terms of recipe making and I don't really know what to choose from the multitude of products you have) Thanks for your work! I admire you so much for all you accomplish on this site!

Hello, Unfortunately no, because tenside SCS or SCI will not dissolve during body massage, just like coconut tenside.

Hi Oana, The ghassoul clay, compared to ground coffee, is too fine-grained to use as an exfoliant in this recipe.

Without coconut tenside the body scrub for gentle cleansing and exfoliation of the skin will turn into an exfoliating scrub only, without cleansing properties, resulting in a coarser texture.

Hello Felicia, Hazelnut oil can be replaced with other oils, for example: almond, argan, amla, apricot, centella asiatica, kukui, macadamia, according to your preferences.

Hello Mariana, We have not carried out any tests on this, so we can't give a relevant answer. It's very likely that the complexity of the scrub recipe, with its additional oil and butter content, may adversely affect the success of cold process soap. Have a sunny day!
