1. Mix the ingredients of phase A in a glass in the order given in the recipe. After adding the arginine, mix well and wait for the solution to clarify, then continue. Set aside Phase A until the gel forms, about 15 minutes.

2. In a bowl add the emulsifier, mix with a mini-whisk and gradually add the oil, stirring after each addition, as when making a mayonnaise. The composition should increase in viscosity.

3. Gradually add phase A to the composition of phase B and mix well.

4. Add phase C and mix thoroughly.

Kedves Eszter, Természetesen helyettesíthető más, hasonló állagú olajokkal, úgy mint: aloe vera, amla, bojtorján, fehér liliom vagy kamélia. Szépép napot kívánunk!

Szeretnék érdeklődni, hogy a receptben feltüntetett fügekaktuszmag olaj helyettesíthető-e más olajokkal? Köszönöm szépen!

Hi Rafaela, As the Alpha Emulsifier is quite demanding in the way it works, i.e. the serum is already quite low in pH, we do not recommend adding salicylic acid to this recipe.

Hello, is it possible to add salicylic acid in the composition and if so, how? Thanks!

This serum doesn't come out at the ph you specified. 6 is its ph after preparation. Arginine is very basic and I think the percentage is too high. Maybe I'm wrong. What do you think?

I just made it without emulsifier. I added 2% cactus oil, and 2% xanthan gum. It turned out great and stable! Thank you so much!

You can leave out the emulsifier, in which case the oil in phase B should also be removed, or increase the xanthan gum a little to incorporate 1-2% cactus oil. Good luck!

It may have been the alpha emulsifier, although I worked exactly by the book as directed. Could I maybe drop the emulsifier and possibly add xanthan gum to be like a gel? I don't really do well with alpha, and would really like the active ingredients in this serum. Thank you so much for the directions and reply.

Hello! The emulsion may not be stable, in which case we do not recommend using the serum. We are assuming that you have not made any changes to the formula and have worked with the exact amounts to the ingredients and the pH is as indicated. We're thinking that you may have made a mistake in the preparation given that Alpha emulsifier is quite fussy in the way it works.

Hello, I made this serum, and it came out really well, except that the next day, it kind of got powdery in the top. I mixed it well and it came back to normal. Can I use it or is it compromised? After shaking it looks fine, just like in your picture.

Hello! It can be applied daily, even over a longer period of time if your complexion tolerates this serum well.

Hello! You can use another glycerinic extract instead of the extract of horse chestnut, but we can't give you a substitute with the same properties. Cactus oil is a special oil with special properties, we do not have a substitute, but you can also use another vegetable oil such as pomegranate, borago, centella.

Hello! Apply a moderate amount of the serum to cleansed skin in the evening, do not wipe, do not rinse. Only good!

Hello. Please detail how to use. The application is a little vague. Apply with a disk and wipe, apply and hold for a while and then rinse? Thank you very much.
