Hello! Instead of the oils suggested in the recipe you can use other oils, but instead of mango butter you need to add other butter or add shea butter, otherwise the consistency of the cream will be not suitable.

Dear Adele, you can replace shea butter with murumuru butter, which has a lighter texture, but for a less fatty cream you need to make another recipe that includes water.

Hello, what can I replace Borago oil with? I saw that it is not in stock. On another note, I am very glad I found you, I have so far made my day cream, antiperspirant, bath pralines, I have started to test essential oil combinations for perfumes and I am very pleased with all of them . Skin (and not only) is very happy :) Thank you very kindly!

Hello. Instead of sea buckthorn oil you can use another vegetable oil, for example pomegranate, blackcurrant, raspberry, etc. The ingredients can generally be stored in ambient if the temperature does not exceed 24°C or in the fridge; floral waters, aloe vera gel and in general aqueous extracts are recommended to be stored in the fridge.

Good morning, instead of cathine oil (which expires before using the cream) what can I use in this cream? And one more question: the oils, floral waters, etc. since they are unopened/started, and are still within the warranty period, are they stored in the refrigerator or at room temperature (with the idea of being conducive for later use)? What is your recommendation? Thanks!

Hello, thanks for your help! In the idea of bringing the cream to a less greasy composition, can one also add cetearyl alcohol (in phase A) and decrease one of the butters (or maybe an oil) accordingly? Or does it become too viscous? Or does it not have the result I am thinking of? I also intend to add coenzyme Q10 and so the formulation becomes (for 30 ml): Aunt's shea phase28% (8,4 gr) Aunt's murmuru phase 15% (4,5 gr) ACetearyl alcohol phase5% (1,5gr) B-phase Vegetal glycerin phase3,3% (1 gr) B-phase Borago oil phase18,7% (5,6 gr) B-phase Centella asiatica oil phase22% (6, 6 gr) B-phase B-phase sea buckthorn oil5% (1,5 gr) B-phase fragrance 0,3-0,4% (3-4 drops) B-phase coenzyme Q102% (0,6 gr) B-phase vitamin E0,5% (4 drops) Is the formulation ok? What needs to be changed? Many thanks!

In general, for products applied in the eye area, it is not recommended to use perfumes, possibly a dosage of less than 0.5% can be considered, in which case it will probably not succeed in covering the unpleasant odor. You could try Mandeline, Milk&honey, Cherry blossom, Vanilla blossom, Fresh green. Decreasing the amount of shea butter by 5% probably won't make much difference sensory, but you can use murumuru butter instead of mango butter, but not 23% but 15% and supplement the amount of a vegetable oil appropriately to get a similar consistency to the original recipe. Have a nice day!

Hello, I made this cream, eliminating the essential oil with the idea of using it for the eye area. The cream, without essential oil, has more of a rancid odor which is really hard for me to bear. Is mango butter to blame? To use it also around the eyes and to improve the odor, is it allowed to add fragrance? If so, what suggestions do you have? The cream is very oily. Could the percentage of butters be reduced? If so, by how much and what else should be added? Thank you!

To use the cream also around the eyes I removed the essential oil, but the cream smells very bad even though the shea oil I used is refined. Can the cream be made with a fragrance (milk&honey, cherry blossom, etc.) and still be used around the eyes? If so, what would be your suggestion for a fragrance? If the amount of butters were equal (i.e. 28%, so decrease the shea butter by 5%) would the cream become a little drier? As it is, it's a bit oily. Do you have any other suggestions? Many thanks!
