Hello Marilena, 1. for a more intense scent, you can increase the dosage of Lily of the Valey fragrance while decreasing the dosage of the oil. 2. since this formula does not contain water, you can try including baking soda in the recipe. We recommend that you test a small amount. Good luck!

Hello! Please help me with 2 pieces of information: 1.to get a more intense scent, what is the maximum percentage of Liily of valey fragrance that you recommend me to use?(I saw in the product leaflet that it can be used in the armpit area up to 9.9%) 2.I would like to add baking soda but as lemonester is effective in acidic environment, I thought that it would not be the best idea..what do you advise? Thank you very much:)

Hi Marilena, If you want to achieve a less solid, creamier consistency, we recommend lowering the stearic acid dosage to 23-25%. To obtain a cream-type deodorant, the recipe must be completely reformulated with small sample tests. Without these tests we cannot provide you with useful and reliable information. Have an easy day!

Hello Raluca, You can replace caprylis oil with another oil with a light texture, such as: kukui, rice, melon or oat oil. Have an easy day!

Hello, Can I use grape seed oil instead of caprilis oil? Or with what other light oils could I substitute? Thank you very much!

Hi Anca-Ioana, We do not recommend replacing alum powder with rice powder as they do not behave the same. An excess of 5% rice powder would result in a too dry consistency. To achieve the desired consistency, we recommend removing it, not replacing it.

Hello! What could I replace the alum powder with? Is it possible to replace its quantity with rice powder or should I add something else to get the desired consistency?

Hi Simona, At first glance, the problem may be the addition of the decalact. It's probably the inclusion of the decalact in the final, cold stage that caused the problem. Try adding it in stage A and you might be fine.

Hello, I've been making many of your recipes for a few years and the deo stick is my favorite because it's resistant and nice smelling and especially healthy. I recently modified this formula by replacing 1) lemonster with decalact, 2) rice powder with starch, zinc oxide (to increase the deodorant effect) and magnesium stearate (also for increased deodorant effect). In addition, trying to make it more heat resistant and easier to slip in the deo stick container I added 1% candel wax, 1% carnauba wax and 1% beeswax decreasing accordingly the percentage of oil. Everything was ok, until adding the perfuming and decalactant (I added them last) when it turned into butter and I couldn't s ail melt to pour it into the stick. Do you happen to know which of the ingredients reacted and caused my beautiful stick to turn into complicated to use butter? I suspect zinc oxide, but I'm not sure if just it or magnesium stearate? I'd give it another try, but I wouldn't waste all the leftover ingredients by ending up making yet another butter, but somehow I'd like to increase the deodorant effect a bit still. Thanks a lot for your help.

Hello Gyöngyi, Over the years we have formulated a number of deodorants and we have strived to improve the recipes to make them as effective as possible. This recipe may also include baking soda approx. 2 g in phase B, reducing the amount of oil in phase A accordingly, with the proviso that being an anhydrous preparation, it will feel a little gritty on application (but the bicarbonate and alum crystals dissolve shortly after application).

Hello Emilia, Two ingredients can be the cause of this unpleasant sensation. The stearic acid needs to dissolve completely during the heating of phase A and the alum powder, which, if in crystal form, needs to be crushed in a grinder before adding to the composition. Good luck!

Hello, I am a beginner in formulating recipes. I made Proficient stick deodorant and I realized that one of the ingredients crystallized, small hard pieces appeared in the composition after it hardened. Is this normal? I want to mention that when I added the B phases I also put the container in the water bath and stirred to prevent it from hardening too early, before putting it in the container.

Hello! By homemade methods we cannot get a very fine alum powder, so it will feel upon application but from our experience not very unpleasant. Thanks for your appreciation, 1

Hello! Your proposed nets are phenomenal and for that I want to thank you! With this recipe, I was not able to turn the alum stone into a fine powder that would not be felt on the skin when applied. I crushed it in a grinder and then ground it with a rasp and still to no avail. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you in advance!

Hello! Interesting what you report, we didn't notice such solidification, but the alum stone tends to migrate to the bottom of the container, that's why we suggested in the preparation method to stir continuously on the water bath and until pouring.

Hello. I made the stick, according to the recipe (changes: caprilis oil instead of vanilla ; sericid instead of rice powder) and after I poured phase B in phase A in the water bath something solidified on the bottom of the glass, it actually petrified, Otherwise it came out very well .... I wonder what? Maybe the alum stone? I specify that I crushed it very well, it's true that it's very slightly shattered, but almost insesizabil. I was really very curious how it would be...because many of my friends would like some. Maybe we can figure it out together. Thanks in advance for your reply.

Hello! Hazelnut cannot dissolve in oily mediums, it must be crushed to be as fine a powder as possible and dispersed as homogeneously as possible in the composition.

Hello, please tell me how do you dilute the alum stone so that it doesn't feel in the deodorant,I know it dissolves in water completely but in recipes based only on oil, like this one I can't dissolve it.Thank you
