Alexandra, your proposed formula is interesting. We have not yet worked with reetha in such an application, we can only give you some suggestions: xanthan gum is in too high a percentage (somewhere around 0.5% would probably be ok) the required amount of lactic acid cannot be estimated beforehand, the pH of the shampoo should be measured at the end and adjusted if needed the total percentage of essential oils is too high and especially in the sage one, the shampoo can liquefy excessively use cosgard at 0.8% considering the nettle macerate and the reetha infusion Good luck!

This formula is suitable for oily hair and if formulated correctly: A: Lavender mild base 10% A: Coconut tenside powder 6% B: Net Nettle macerate 40% B: Nettle powder concentrate 29% (I was thinking to put 2 tablespoons to 500 ml water and boil until it decreases to half the amount) B: Glycerin 9% B: Xanthan gum 2% B: Lactic acid 0.4% C: Cedar Atlas 1% C: Rosemary 1% C: Sage 1% C: Cosgard 0.6% Thank you

Hello Diana, In the shampoo base it is advisable to include ingredients in a maximum of 10% in total. You can add approx. 5% liquid coconut surfide or foaming surfide. If you want to include vegetable oils, the washing and foaming power and viscosity will be reduced. You can include honeyquat approx. 2% and possibly 2% glycerine (or 4% honeyquat, being dry hair, is perhaps a better choice). Essential/perfuming oils or other actives, 1% at most, total.

Hi, I also got a shampoo base and it doesn't really lather, can I add a liquid surfactant to it? I would like to put honeyquat as a conditioner, a combination of oils (jojoba, coconut, castor and broccoli) glycerin and a perfuming. My hair is a bit dry. I don't know if I have chosen the right ingredients , but I would like it to be both moisturizing and nourishing and not make dandruff. Can you advise me on the quantities and if I need anything extra , and to be even more vascos .For a quantity of 250 ml. Thank you

Hello Gabriela, The shampoo base really doesn't have too great a degreasing effect. The recipe is dedicated for oily hair due to the action of the active ingredients to balance sebum secretion, a process that can take a longer time. A shampoo with high washing (degreasing) power can stimulate increased sebum secretion and so the hair will tend to become more greasy.

Hello, Unfortunately the shampoo does not provide an effective degreasing, although it is recommended for oily hair. What ingredient could I add for a better cleansing sensation? Thank you,

Cristina, the amount of ingredients added in the shampoo base is approx. 9%, and it is quite high and the oregano essential oil is a bit more than necessary, as it is very potent. In our opinion, there is no need to apply an anti-dandruff solution based on essential oils in parallel with this shampoo as there is a risk of scalp irritation. As for the roughness of the hair after washing, you probably also need a hair conditioner) applied only to the strands, not to the scalp if it is oily.

Hello. If I put another shampoo base on top of this one which I have added too many essential oils, 10 ml of marine-z would be good (I want to order again).

Cristina, you have used too much essential oils in the formula, of which oregano is very strong, so the scalp can become irritated and dandruff can form. Including silicone is not the best choice for such a shampoo. Unfortunately you can't remedy the shampoo already prepared, but in the future you can consult us on the formula we have devised, so that we can give you some guidance in advance.
