Solid shampoo with nettle and keratin
Formula: CS1167 Difficulty level: medium Shelf life: min 6 months

Phase Ingredients Dosage % Total 130 gr
A SCI Surfactant 50 65 gr
A SCS Surfactant 20 26 gr
A Pure / distilled water 10 13 gr
B Black Cumin oil 8 10,4 gr
B Vege-Keratin 5 6,5 gr
B Nettle powder 5 6,5 gr
B Clary Sage essential oil 1,3 1,7 gr
B Rosemary essential oil 0,7 0,9 gr

1. Heat the ingredients of phase A in a heat-resistant glass on a water bath. Mix slowly and thoroughly in the meantime. When a homogeneous paste has formed, remove from heat.

2. Add the ingredients from phase B to phase A and mix well.

3. Quickly transfer the mixture to a soap mould and smooth the surface well.

4. Leave to harden on a flat surface for at least 4 hours. Remove the mold from the mold and place on a towel or rack to dry. After 48 hours it can be used.

The result is a good foaming, pleasant-smelling shampoo enriched with ingredients that help keep the scalp healthy. It washes well without being stripping and has an added conditioning effect given by keratin. It is suitable for all hair types, especially oily or dandruff affected, problem scalps.

Hello Raluca, You can reformulate the recipe as follows: 2.5% vegetable keratin + 2.5% silk protein.

Hello Lorena, The amounts in the recipe are correct, both we and our customers have tested, retested and made them many times. Phase A needs to be heated in a water bath and even if the amount of water seems small at first, after heating and melting the tensides, in a few minutes you get a more uniform and homogeneous paste. This paste allows phase B to be added in rapid succession and with continuous stirring to prevent cooling and, at the same time, premature hardening. The resulting paste is quickly transferred into molds and is ready for use the next day. The shampoo blocks will be hard, not crumbly, Good luck!

Hello! I made a solid tenside shampoo for the first time yesterday. I would need a little bit of clarity on phase A( tensides+water). The amount of water is very small to be able to mix thoroughly and get a homogeneous paste. I have maybe with too much quantity (for 10 pieces of 100 gr). To understand, is it like heating tensides? Because 10% water cannot form a paste, at 70% tensides. I managed to put them in molds, the consistency was more like bath bombs. But today when I took them out of the molds today, they're still not hardened well and slightly crumbly. Do you think they will firm up enough to use? Thank you, Lorena Nechifor

Kedves Mária, A feketekömény olaj helyettesíthető hasonló tulajdonságokkal, a fejbőrre, hajhagymákra gyakorolt pozitív hatásokkal bíró olajokkal, úgy mint: bojtorján, chaulmoogra, mustármag, babér vagy neem olajokkal. Szép napot kívánunk!

Hello! I made the shampoo and it is mi-nu-nat, I am very pleased with the result! ? I have a question: can I replace Vege-Keratin with Silk Protein? And if yes, does the dosage change or can it stay the same? Thanks!

In the previous version, before the site update, the description of the manufacture of this shampoo was better! Now there are no proposals for replacing ingredients, there are no safety rules, there are no recommendations and warnings on how to properly work with some of the ingredients that are included in the composition. Recipe descriptions have gotten worse. Please fix this. Thank you.

Hello! During the heating, in step 1, you have to mix slowly, carefully, otherwise the composition incorporates too much air, and the finished product becomes airy, crumbly.

Hello, I made the recipe but the calup remained soft and flaky. I tested it, but it disintegrates . What could be the reason? How could I influence the consistency so that it is hard? I really wish I could use the recipe, because nettles are a very suitable ingredient. Thanks for your help.

Dear Katalin, the recipe has not been tested with other tensides, but in principle it can be made with SLSA. Have a nice day!

Dear Helga, in principle yes, but soaps are not the best choice for washing hair because of their high pH.

Hello! Net nettle powder can be substituted with bhringaraj powder. You can enrich the formula with maca extract, we suggest a dosage of about 3% and decrease the water dosage accordingly.
