Hello Cornelia, Since Marigold extract is a solid paste at room temperature, it is recommended to liquefy it by gently heating it to 40-45°C before incorporating it into compositions. To disperse evenly, we recommend adding this ingredient to the still-warm 45-40°C emulsion. Good luck!

Hello! I also had the problem Alina mentioned when preparing the creams. Even though I liquefied the marigold extract, it solidified in the cream and there were clumps of solidified extract. How can this phenomenon be prevented? Mvh, Cornelia

Hi, I liquefied the marigold extract, put it in the cream, but I can't seem to disperse it. It solidified immediately. The extract left visible dots through the cream. How can I prevent that? May have an older prescription anti-cupcosis serum just from oils, cistus and marigold extr., same thing happens there. Reading the comments I didn't find anyone raising this issue. So I am missing something...thanks

Hello! We tried it without beeswax and it destabilized, unfortunately.

Hello! Removing the zinc oxide would require rethinking the dosages on some of the other ingredients, so the formula would need to be retested. I have made recommendations for such an application to your other recipe, the diaper cream recipe - which you can consider.

Hello, I made this cream, to the oily part I put a mix of oils: aloe vera oil, chamomile oil and lavender macerated oil (made by me), plus I added a little guaiac as you indicated. I will show you how it came out.Thank you for your guidance and I highly recommend it :)

Hello! You can include guaiac oil in phase C in a dosage of up to 0.5% (in which case it must be liquefied beforehand), or you can also include it in phase A after it has been removed from the heat, in a dosage of up to 3%. Decrease the amount accordingly for aloe oil. Good luck!

Hello, I would like to prepare this cream good for everything :) burns in the kitchen, irritations and for painful external hemorrhoids. The question is if I can introduce guaiac essential oil, in what quantity and at phase B? Thank you and

Hello! Beeswax is not sufficient for emulsifying and obtaining a stable cream. In this recipe you need emulsifying olive wax, substitute we don't have. Instead of aloe vera oil you can use almond, apricot, rice or caprilis oil, for example, for the preparation of oily marigold macerate , and in this case eliminate the marigold extract proposed in the recipe. Instead of half the water you can use aloe vera gel. Not propolis powder, but in principle you can add propolis extract, at the fine stage; the dosage would be about 1-2% but we cannot predict whether it negatively influences the stability of the cream. These changes do not affect the shelf life.

Hi, I have three questions: 1. could I remove the emulsifying olive wax from the recipe and increase the percentage for beeswax? If so, how much beeswax to put in, 5g total? 2. Could I replace the aloe vera oil and marigold extract with another vegetable oil (what oil would you recommend?) infused with marigold and add to the oil percentage 0.3% instead of the extract? And in the place of half the percentage of water to put aloe vera gel? 3. Can I add propolis powder or propolis extract? If yes in what quantity and in what phase? Do these changes affect the shelf life? I want for a newborn baby. I think there are more than three questions :) but thank you so much for your time and hard work!!!! Thanks a lot!

Hello! The Olliva emulsifier only works in higher aqueous phase, oil-in-water type emulsions, so it cannot be used in this formula. Good thoughts!

Hello. Instead of marigold extract you can use schisandra, dosage about 1%. Instead of beeswax, you can also use candelilla wax about 1.5%. Adjust the dosage of chamomile water in phase B.

Instead of beeswax and marigold co2 extract what could I put? I also have schisandra extract and liquorice. Please let me know the quantity I should adjust. Thank you very much.

In this recipe, unfortunately, we cannot recommend a substitute for the emulsifying olive wax.
