You can use glycerin or a glycerin extract instead of sodium PCA. Instead of lemon balm water you can also use another floral water, chamomile is a good choice.

With what can I replace sodium PCA, I have many ingredients from you but I don't have this one, is the decalcifier good? And instead of lemon balm water can I use chamomile water? Thank you very much

Hi Adriana! For cosmetic formulas you can use plain mineral water, distilled water or reverse osmosis purified water.

Hello, The Toner is applied after cleansing/cleansing the face by spraying or using a cleansing pad. After 5-10 minutes, depending on your established skincare routine, a day cream can be applied.

Mihaela, Hello, The two ingredients are incompatible in the sense that some elements precipitate from the BHA due to the extract, but the microbiological stability of the preparation is not compromised.

Hello, Could you please reply to my previous message asking what does it mean that grapefruit pit extract is not compatible with natural salicylic acid? Does grapefruit pit extract still retain its antifungal and antibacterial properties? I have prepared this tonic using grapefruit pips instead of cosgard not only for myself but also for my girlfriends and we want to know whether or not it can be used for 3 months. Thank you

Good morning, I've read about the preservation of cosmetics, and on the concentrated extract from grapefruit pips I understand that it is not compatible with natural salicylic acid. Please tell me in what sense it is not compatible. I have already made this tonic recipe with natural salicylic acid, but I didn't have cosgard preservative and therefore I put grapefruit pits. Now I realized that it is not compatible. This means that the antifungal and antibacterial properties of the concentrated grapefruit pit extract are nullified, so this tonic is compromised and no longer has a shelf life of 3 months, or is it just the appearance of the tonic, which when I added grapefruit pits became very slightly milky, but I didn't find anything strange at the time and I still use this tonic. So does this tonic still have 3 months shelf life? Thank you!

Hello! I've been thinking for a few days to write you some comments and opinions, but as time passes, more appreciations have accumulated. About your site, ingredients and recipes everything is superlative! I have succeeded a few recipes (actually all that I have tried), 6 in number and their effects are amazing. I discovered the site a month ago but I am very excited. Thank you!

CARMEN, Hello, Vitamin C can be added to such a toner, but being an ingredient that becomes inactive rather quickly, its effect over time will be only acidifying the preparation. Instead of salicylic acid BHA you can work with green tea and nalve, but they are different in action and of course each brings its own specific properties into the composition. Instead of lavender water you can use rose water, but for a sensitive complexion lemon balm or linden water would be more suitable choices. In general, your skin care routine involves applying a moisturizer after toning. Depending on your skin type and depending on the season, a toner formulated with moisturizing actives may be sufficient on its own. See how it suits your complexion, and if your skin asks for it, apply a day cream.

Good evening, I would like to prepare this product for mature (50) and sensitive skin. As I don't have the salicylic acid BHA, can I use instead, Vit.C -0,2%, green tea extract 1ml and nalba extract 4 ml? Instead of lavender water can I use rose water? Is the cream applied after the toner or is it enough on its own? Thank you very much!

Nicole, Yes, for 100 ml of toner use 2 ml of AHA and 32 ml of plain water. We are happy to help!

Nicole, Instead of BHA you can also use AHA for this toner. If you don't want pronounced peeling effect but preparing a toner with regular long-term use, a 2% concentration of fruit acids is sufficient (adjust the percentage of plain water accordingly).
