Hello Gabriella, The kokum butter in this recipe can be replaced with cocoa butter. You can add 1-2% buttermilk to this recipe in phase C.

Hello! If I don't currently have kokum butter, what other butter would you recommend I replace it with? Also, can you also add powdered buttermilk to this formula?

Hello Dana, You can remove the ceramides from the recipe, but without the wax there is a risk of destabilization of the emulsion.

Hello Adina, The substitutions you made are in order. Removing the ceramide from the recipe should not result in the cream separating. The negative experience may be due to different temperatures of the two phases, not mixing long enough, or not following the recipe instructions correctly. Good luck!

Hello, I made the cream, without Ceramide because I didn't have any, and I used almond oil and mango butter instead of Camellia and Kokum. When I finished mixing it looked good, excellent texture, good feeling on the skin. But after a couple hours it cut. Do you think it's because of the substitutions? It's usually not a problem to replace an oil or butter. Could I add a co-emulsifier? I really liked the texture and feel on my skin, I would like to redo the recipe but prevent it from cutting again.Possibly replace Ceramide with Bisabolol (of which I have now). Thanks a lot for the support.

Fragard imparts a vanilla-floral fragrance to the cream, but you can add 5-10 drops of perfuming at the end. Have a nice day.

Can I use alpha emulsifier considering that I use beeswax that melts on steam and flower water that I add after mixing all the oils? And what can I use to stabilize the mixture of wax + oils + floral water + vit e + cosgard?
