Kedves Ellemental!

Hello! Substitution is possible, but without testing we don't know if the amount given in the recipe is optimal.

The density of vegetable collagen being close to 1, you can dose 0.6 ml in this recipe.

Hello! Yes, it can be replaced, in which case you put the pigment at the end or in phase B.

Hello! You have probably made a mistake either in the dosage or in the preparation. Better redo the recipe to get a stable composition.

Hello, I did the mascara but it came out a bit runny (I could pour it into the container easily without using a syringe). I guess I must have gotten some amount wrong somewhere. Is there anything else I can do now to thicken the composition or should I make another one? Thanks

Hello, Amalia! The ingredients you selected are suitable for such an application, but making a mascara recipe is quite difficult, it requires formulating and testing - without which we cannot advise you. As a starting point you can prepare a base gel from lime water and about 0.5% xanthan, into which you then incorporate collagen, keratin, silk protein and possibly honeyquat following the dosages recommended in the sheets; if acacia is also used, it must be dissolved in the lime water beforehand; if the gel is firm enough, you can disperse about 2% broccoli oil. Thank you for your appreciation and trust,

Hi Elemental and congratulations on all the wonderful recipes! Would you please direct me a little towards a 2 in 1 mascara gel treatment gel mascara recipe, preferably water based. I have collagen, keratin, aloe powder, acacia gum, silk protein, xanthan gum, honeyquat, lime water...what to use? And what percentage? Could I possibly put broccoli oil in the final gel texture?.....

In principle yes, it can be done. You may need to supplement the amount with white clay or include sericite for optimal texture.

I made the recipe, I liked it, I had the feeling that it's a bit thick the composition.I have a doubt though: trying to adapt the recipe for someone who wants a colorless mascara, when I got to the percentage of clay, I found that it gives me in the calculation with 3%, 0.45g instead of 1.5... Can you please tell me how is it correct? When I did it the first time I didn't mess with the math.

Ari Adriana, we are glad that you suggest using makeup products that are as natural as possible. As for the recipe you suggested, we can't give you any instructions, but in principle it can be done, except that Vaseline is a petrochemical derivative. The ingredients of our recipes are described in detail on our website, you can study them if you have a little time.
