Almond & Tiaré Body Milk
Formula: 81006 Difficulty level: medium Shelf life: min 3 months pH optimal: 5.5-6.0

Phase Ingredients Dosage % Total 150 gr
A Emulsifier Alpha 6 9 gr
A Almond oil 10 15 gr
A Safflower oil 10 15 gr
B Pure / distilled water 71,1 106,7 gr
B Xanthan gum 0,3 0,45 gr
C Panthenol 1 1,5 gr
C Natural fragrance oil Tiaré 1 50 drops
C Fragard 0,6 30 drops

1. In a glass add the water from phase B, over which you gradually sprinkle the xanthan gum and stir vigorously until completely dispersed. Set aside for gel formation, during which time prepare phase A.

2. In a bowl add the Alfa emulsifier and mix for about 20 seconds, then add the oils a little at a time, similar to making mayonnaise. The composition should gradually harden into a viscous gel.

3. Add the contents of phase B little by little over phase A, mixing well.

4. Add the ingredients of phase C in turn, stirring thoroughly after each.

5. Transfer the mixture to the dedicated container. The consistency will be final on the next day.

The result is a smooth-textured body milk with a subtle floral fragrance. It is moisturising, spreads easily on the skin, absorbs quickly and leaves no greasy film.

Hello! Instead of a part of almond and coconut oils, we recommend about 5-7% vegetable silicone and 3-5% volatile vege-silicone. You can also use only the volatile, maximum 10%. Keep the total of 20% oils/silicones in the formula. Good luck!

Hello ! In order for this lotion to leave the skin feeling silky on the skin (while preserving its properties), do you recommend adding vegetable silicone or volatile vegetable silicone in addition to the 2 oils ? Daca da , in ce procent ? Va multumesc frumos !

Hello! Sure, you can do the substitution, same amount. The emulsion will come out an idea more viscous.

Hello! Alpha emulsifier formulas are stable and without xanthan gum, so you've thought through the proposed modification. The recipe can be enriched with sodium PCA and/or urea, but keep in mind that the emulsifier already contains a moisturizing agent - glycerin. This will result in a fairly fluid emulsion, which in principle can be used in a spray pump bottle. Good luck!

Hello! If I remove xanthan gum to get a moisturizing spray to which I add sodium PCA, possibly urea, will it be stable?

It's a milk type emulsion, but with the addition of 0.3% xanthan gum it shouldn't come out too runny if the preparation was done properly. We do not recommend changing the water to oil ratio.

It came out very fluid. The formula is very ok for skin, but it's hard to handle :) Do you think it still emulsifies if I change the water to oils ratio?

Hello. You can make the substitution, you would need about 0.5% guar gum.

Hello! Can guar gum be used instead of xanthan gum? From what I understand from other comments, you would need a slightly larger amount. Could you specify the percentage? Thanks in advance.
