I haven't gotten to use it in combination with other elements. As an odor, it's clearly not for everyone. Before you buy it, make sure you know what Cognac oil smells like.

Yes, you need to buy this! It’s the most intoxicating uplifting aroma I have ever come across! It’s happiness in a bottle! It’s been an instant hit with everyone I know that’s tried any product I’ve made with this ingredient. Can’t recommend enough!!

An interesting fragrance, sweet and imposing, but I expected it to have a softer scent!

I would like to give an update to yesterday's two star review. I finally made the solid fragrance with white cognac essential oil, although it smelled pretty bad. I also added a few drops of tiare flower parfum and vetiver essential oil. I left it in the fridge overnight, and today I was pleasantly surprised to find that it had only a very faint whiff of rancid butter smelled straight from the container, but applied to the skin it smelled quite pleasant. Unfortunately it doesn't linger too long, and for that I give it 4 stars (and because it was unpredictable)

I was looking forward to receiving this essential oil because I wanted to make a solid perfume based on soy wax and cocoa butter. I unwrapped it the day I received the parcel and after two days of keeping it at room temperature (quite cool but still in July anyway) it smells rancid and I can't do anything with it. It says on it that it can be kept in a cool dry place, which I tried to do, but it probably should have been kept in the fridge. You should include clearer information about storage temperature so you don't miss new ingredients that cost upwards of 20.
