Description

Immortelle Essential Oil (Helichrysum italicum) is rare and precious for personal care and natural cosmetics. It contains a combination of substances responsible for its remarkable anti-hematoma property, for which the oil is traditionally recognized. Other varieties appear similar, but not all possess the same efficacy.

air Olfactory profile: Intense, earthy-herbaceous, sugary, with notes of dry hay, honey, and tea. Persistent and unconventional, surprising at first encounter, complex and captivating on the skin.

100% pure and natural, undiluted, botanically and biochemically defined
Obtained by steam distillation from the flowering tops of Helichrysum italicum

  • Anti-hematoma ointment: A few drops of Immortelle and a few of Wintergreen, diluted in Arnica Oil and incorporated into Shea Butter. Applied immediately after injury (not on broken skin), with a gentle circular massage on the hematoma. Immortelle supports resorption, Wintergreen targets pain, and Arnica acts as an active carrier.
  • Oil for stretch marks: A few drops of Immortelle and a few of Neroli, diluted in Caprilis Oil with a touch of Rosehip Extract. Massage into the targeted zones morning and evening, consistently over several weeks.
  • Balm for skin with a vascular appearance: A few drops of Immortelle and a few of Organic Cypress, diluted in Cupuacu Butter. Applied to the calves with an upward massage, a combination with a long tradition for the appearance of skin with slow circulation and visible capillary vessels.

air_freshener Aromatherapy & Diffusion

  • "Emotional Recovery" Blend: Immortelle + Lavender + Bergamot in the diffuser. A warm and floral composition that tempers the earthy sharpness of Immortelle, creating an environment of safety and calm.
  • Meditative blend: Immortelle + Frankincense + Roman Chamomile. Deep, sacred, with a honey-like warmth that invites authentic reflection.

Questions and Answers (FAQ)

Q: Why does it smell so different from what I would expect from a "floral oil"?
A: Immortelle is floral in a botanical sense, not an olfactory one. Its aroma is dominated by earthy and hay-like components, nothing like the floral freshness of lavender or the sweetness of geranium. Many are surprised upon first opening the bottle. It is an aroma that requires familiarity, but it becomes captivating on the skin, where it opens up completely to reveal nuances of tea, sweet resin, and organic warmth. In blends, citruses or Lavender temper it and make it more accessible.

Q: Are all products named "Helichrysum" or "Immortelle" equivalent?
A: No. There are several species of Helichrysum, but only Helichrysum italicum contains the active profile, neryl acetate, gamma-curcumene, and italidiones, which provides the properties for which it is renowned. Other varieties may be marketed under the same name, but with significantly lower efficacy.

Q: How many drops are needed, why is the bottle so small?
A: Immortelle is rare and expensive due to the nature of its production, requiring hundreds of kilograms of flowers to yield 1 kilogram of oil. However, it is also extremely concentrated: a few drops are enough to activate a 30 ml serum or a 50 g ointment.

Warm, herbaceous and radiant, Helichrysum italicum essential oil is sometimes called everlasting or immortelle due to its rejuvenating effects. Use helichrysum in skin care, especially for anti-aging products. It is also a powerful essential oil for restorative blends for skin, muscles and joints.

I hope it's quality as I used from another company, a bit more expensive, and it was good as an addition to a skin regenerating ointment.

I bought this essential oil a few months ago, but just today I broke the seal to use 0.5 grams of oil in a cream. At one point the canthar had reached 0.4 grams and no more droplets were coming out, so I removed the dropper to facilitate the flow. Another 1-2 drops fell and that was the whole bottle. I don't think that 2 ml have the density of 0.4 grams, as the bottle was kept in a dry, dark place, away from heat. I practically wasted the 35 lei just for a 100 gr cream (not counting the cost of the rest of the ingredients). This is my first experience of this kind with the elemental website, which makes me think twice before ordering from them again!
