Vitamin C + Hyaluron serum
Formula: 1311870 Difficulty level: beginner Shelf life: 2 weeks pH optimal: 2.5-2.8

Phase Ingredients Dosage % Total 15 ml
A Lime Water 79.3 13.3 ml (13.3 gr)
A Hyaluronic acid HMW 0.7 0.1 gr
A Vitamin C Ascorbic 15 2.5 gr
A Glycerin 3 0.5 ml (0.5 gr) approx.9 drops
A Panthenol 1 0.2 ml (0.2 gr) approx.5 drops
A Vege-Collagen 1 0.2 ml (0.2 gr) approx.6 drops

1. In a glass add lime water over which sprinkle the hyaluronic acid and stir vigorously. In a short time a light gel forms.

2. Gradually add vitamin C to the gel with stirring.

3. Add the rest of the ingredients and homogenise.

4. Transfer the prepared serum to the airless container and store in the refrigerator.

The result is a serum with strong antioxidant and anti-aging action, which brings a number of benefits to any skin type. It has an effect from the first application, the skin loosens, fine lines fade, the complexion becomes brighter, the skin becomes smoother, more elastic and supple. The serum targets signs of ageing, fades spots and counteracts the negative effects of free radicals.

Apply daily, preferably in the evening, to clean skin, avoiding the eye area. After application, the skin may feel tingly and slightly warm. After 4-6 weeks a break of at least 2 weeks is recommended

Not all skin tolerates the acidity of such a product containing a high concentration of vitamin C. People with sensitive skin may not tolerate this serum well

The serum should be kept refrigerated and used within 2 weeks. It can be prepared easily and quickly, and a fresh portion can be prepared every 2 weeks.
Vitamin C Ascorbic is the most potent but at the same time the most unstable variant of vitamin C. It becomes inactive quite quickly. Vitamin C Ascorbic preparations are recommended to be packaged in airless containers that protect against contact with air.

Hello Margareta, We do not recommend removing or replacing vitamin C ascorbic as it is the essential ingredient in this recipe. At the same time, as mentioned, it is also the most unstable ingredient, which becomes inactive in a fairly short period of time, which is why we do not recommend extending the shelf life.

Please kindly advise me with what could I use to alkalize this solution if I use ascorbyl glycoside instead of vit c ascorbic? Can I use Arginine? or....Please also specify the approximate percentage of alkalizer, and if I can add preservative to extend the shelf life.I purchased 100g ascorbyl glycoside,so something I should definitely do with it. Thank you very much

Hi Aida, The optimal range for caffeine-containing preparations is pH 4.0 - 5.5. Due to the too low pH of this serum we do not recommend adding caffeine.

Hello Margareta, In principle you can make the proposed substitution provided you adjust the pH of the finished product to 5.0-7.0 instead of the original pH of the recipe.

Hello, I also have some questions, I tried to do research on some ingredients and I would like to include them in some formulas that I tried to make from scratch, because I have not found some recipes that contain all the ingredients that I would like in formulas, but I am not sure that all the ingredients are ok as dosage but also as compatibility with each other because I found contradictory information online:( My complexion is: - sensitive, sometimes dry and flaky at times - blackheads/sebaceous spots on the nose, cheeks and forehead - dark circles - superficial wrinkles around the eyes/forehead I want to create a skincare routine but I don't know what I should do and in what order I should use them. I don't wear makeup and have never had a routine before but I know I need to start because my skin is starting to look horrible. I want as simple but complete a routine as possible to alleviate any problems. Cleanser: This one seemed simple enough to me that I was confident I could do it easily. Toner: What I'd like to do: Blackhead toner with BHA: 2% Salicylic Acid Natural BHA (2-10%) 2% Marine-Z (2-5%) 1% Xanthan gum (1-2%) 2% Peptidelin (2-10%) 1% Peptide-coll (1-3%) 92% Aloe vera flower water/gel (1-100%) Should I use other percentages than what is listed before each ingredient or are they ok? I would like to have maximum benefit but I have sensitive skin so I don't want to overdo it. Should I combine them in a certain order or does the order not matter in this case? 1. Serum gel-apos: 77% Rose rose water (1-100%) 10% Urea (1-20%) Lactic acid (0.1-5%) - for ph adjustment 5% Niacinamide (1-4%) 1% Hyaluronic acid HMW (0.1-1%) 5% Panthenol (1-5%) 1% Hyaluronic acid OLIGO (0.1-0.5%) 1% Xanthan gum (1-2%) In which order should I combine them? Does the order matter in this case? And can it also be used in the eye area? Is Xantham gum still needed considering it is also HMW in the formulation?and how often should I use it? 2. Oil-based serum: 5% Ceramide (0.25-5%) 2% Bakuchiol (0.5-1%) 2% LIPO Hyaluronic Acid (1-2%) 0.3% Astaxanthin (0.01-0.3%) 50% Olive Squalane (1-100%) 10% Cucumber Oil (1-100%) 10% Melon Oil (1-100%) 10% Aloe Vera Oil (1-100%) 10.7% Rice Oil (1-100%) Can I use higher percentages of ceramide/bokuchiol/astaxanthin? In what order to combine them? Does the order matter in this case? And can it be used in the eye area as well? And how often should I use it? Vitamin C serum (for eyes?) Can I replace water with aloe vera gel? Or can it be put in a pipette container? Instead of a pump given the texture of the gel? - Can you add 1% ferulic acid,: 5% niacinamide, 10% urea and 20% azelaic acid to this recipe? - Can the doses of vit C and HMW be increased as follows? Ingredients: 20% Vitamin C 2% HMW 73% Rose flower water/aloe vera gel 3% Vegetable glycerin 1% Panthenol 1% Vege-collagen Can I not include a cream in my daily routine? Just moisturizing serum? Morning and evening (one with vit c once and one with bakuchiol another time)? and how often should I use it? If must cream can I use, is it enough? would this go used day or night? and daily? If there are changes that need to be made can you please tell me where what and how I should do so that I get an ok product for sensitive skin but also get results? Thanks a lot!

Hello! Vitamin E is soluble in oils, it cannot be incorporated into this composition. Instead of glycerin you can use another humectant such as sodium PCA or propanediol. All the best!

Nice orange, you can put sodium PCA in it, but not vitamin E and Q10, as they are oily ingredients. Have a nice day!

Dear Elemental! Instead of collagen and panthenol, can I put Q10 , vitamin E and PCA? Are these ingredients effective together?

Hello! This recipe is formulated with an emphasis on vitamin C. Without the main ingredient, a serum with the described properties does not come out. You can formulate a serum with hyaluron, silk protein and caffeine, it's not difficult. Go for serum, gel or booster recipes in these categories.

Hello. Can I not use vit C? It doesn't interest me. Possibly increase the percentage of hyaluron and add silk protein for a more ok effect? Could I add caffeine, since I don't have vit C?
