Dear Bernadett, the pineapple powder in this dosage contains relatively little enzyme to make the resulting gel effective without AHA. Have a nice day!

Dear Elemental! Can I make a purely enzymatic exfoliator? Can I skip the AHA acid? Should I put instead, say, castor beads or more pineapple powder? Thank you!

Yes, you can add 5-10 drops, mix well for the most even dispersion in the gel.

Hi. The pH is checked at the end in this recipe. You can refrigerate both the prdus and the remaining ingredients, or store it in a dry place out of direct sunlight and below 25°C, but in general, floral waters and aloe vera gel are best kept refrigerated.

You can remove the aloe vera gel, replacing it with a floral or plain water. To achieve the chemical peeling effect, pay attention to the pH of the composition, as I explained in the recipe description.

I can't really stand the smell of aloe :( ; can you replace it with something else or remove it completely? For it to be a superficial chemical peel what should be modified ? Thanks

Hello Joan. If you add the guar gum in one go, as instructed in the recipe, then it should have dispersed smoothly and without clumping. Even if the resulting gel still contains clumps, it's not a big problem, they will dissolve over time.

Hello Cosmina. You can add water soluble colorant that is stable in acidic environments.

Dear Betti, You can use lactic acid instead of fruit acid, but it is important that the pH of the composition is about 3.5. We can't give you an exact dosage, you have to add it little by little and check it until you get the optimum value. Whatever acid you are working with, as long as you are using a chemical peel treatment, sun protection is recommended. Have a nice day!

Dear Elemental, I would like to ask if the cream would change if I add lactic acid instead of AHA fruit acid? Is it possible and if so how much? Will the exfoliating effect still be good? Also, if I do it this way, if I do it with AHA, do I need sunscreen after use? Thanks + regards, Betti Kozma

Hello Doina, You can also prepare the gel with xanthan gum, you would need a smaller percentage, and in this case you should also change the preservative with cosgard, the same amount.
