Exfoliating oil-gel
Formula: 17122 Difficulty level: medium Shelf life: min 6 months pH optimal: -

Phase Ingredients Dosage % Total 50 gr
A Emulsifier Alfa 25 12,5 gr
A Aloe vera oil 64,5 32,2 gr
B Natural fragrance Aloe Bamboo 0,5 0,25 gr
B Rizi-beads 10 5 gr

1. In a bowl add Alfa emulsifier and mix for about 20 seconds then add the oil a little at a time, similar to making mayonnaise. The composition should gradually harden into a viscous gel.

2. Over phase A add phase B and homogenise.

3. Transfer the composition into the dedicated container.

The result is a product with an interesting texture, which turns into an emulsion on contact with water and thus rinses easily from the skin. The exfoliating granules gently cleanse and free the skin of dead cells. After exfoliation, the complexion is left clean and soft. Particularly suitable for dry, sensitive skin.

Hello, In principle you can do the replacement. We recommend you prepare a small amount to test if it works as a hair shampoo. Without testing we cannot estimate if 10% reetha, shikakai is enough to turn this gel into effective hair shampoo. Good luck!

Instead of castor beads could I add reetha shikakai powder to use when washing my hair?

Hello! The dosage in drops is only approximate, and depends on the density of the product. For example, for vegetable oils you can count between 18-25 drops, for essential oils 20-35 drops, for fluid aqueous ingredients about 25 drops, for the most viscous about 15-20 drops.

1 gr aloe oil or any other vegetable oil is equal to 22 drops? As you expressed in a post for penthenol? I await your reply, to order. Thank you.

Hello! You can remove the castor pearls and in principle, you can add a little coco-betain or decyl (foaming) surfactant but without testing we don't know exactly how much would be optimal. Prepare a small sample amount.

Hello! The combination of Alpha emulsifier + vegetable oil is a mix with hydrophilic oil-like properties. Try a small test amount.

Formula is fine, we don't see any problems with ingredients and dosages. It is possible that when homogenizing with the mixer, too much air was incorporated in the composition and for this reason it liquefied after a while; we can't find any other explanation at the moment. We have made a note of the situation in our work diary, and we will test an aerated oleo-gel with a mixer next time.

It was more complex formula than the ingredients mentioned :). I had made an oil for face cleansing/cleansing, after that I also use a cleanser (combination acne-prone skin). The ingredients and percentages went like this: Melon oil 41,9% Aloe vera oil 5% Black cumin oil 10% Rosehip oil 5% Neem oil 5% Marula oil 30% EU lavender oil .5% EU tea tree oil .5% EU bergamot oil 1% EU geranium oil 1% Antimicrobial complex .1% From this oil I wanted to test if I can get the oleo-gel formula and I tested with just 10 ml of oil, 1:4 ratio with Alpha emulsifier, exactly as in the leaflet: first mixed the emulsifier, then added progressively a little oil with a pipette, mixed with the mixer. The Oleo-gel came out superb, but after about 3 weeks it became watery. It cleanses just as well, the feeling on the skin is not very oily, but it is liquid, not in the form of an oleo-gel. I kept it in a hermetically sealed glass jar in the bathroom. It would be ideal if I could keep the shape. It's a wonderful combination of ingredients for my skin.

Hello! I created an oleo-gel with Alfa emulsifier, neem oil and black cumin, tea tree and it turned out absolutely wonderful. After a few weeks, however, the texture became watery in the jar - can you help me understand what could have caused such a reaction and what can I do to make the texture/stability last over time? I followed the instructions in the product leaflet. Thanks!

Hello! You can add the castor pearls as such to the shower gel you currently use.

Hello, in which recipe could I use castor pearls? Or how could I incorporate them into a shower gel? They expire in Oct. This year and I don't want to waste them. The Oleo gel I may not do anymore, I'll see how I get on with the hibiscus exfoliating cream.

Hello! The recipe is designed to work as a mechanical exfoliator, not chemical, so lactic acid is not recommended here. Instead of castor beads you can also use other finely abrasive particles / granules (ground olive pits, bamboo fiber, coconut flakes, etc).

Hello, I want to make this gel exfoliant, not having any exfoliant available, I researched and I saw that lactic acid is also an exfoliant. My question is how could I add it in the recipe and of course not to exceed the Ph-lul of the gel and not to damage the skin, or what powder can I add in place of castor pearls (coconut powder ex?) and please the gram. Thank you, I wish you good health.
