Rizi-beads
Description
Rizi-beads – Microspheres for Gentle Exfoliation
Rizi-beads is a 100% natural exfoliating agent obtained through the hydrogenation and spheroidization of vegetable wax from pure ricin oil (Castor Oil). Thanks to its spherical shape and smooth surface, it provides a very gentle mechanical exfoliation, removing dead cells and impurities by rolling across the skin without causing micro-scratches on the skin barrier. It represents the ideal ecological and biodegradable alternative to polluting plastic microparticles.
Ingredients: Hydrogenated Castor Oil.
Characteristics
- Origin and Sustainability: 100% plant-based (derived from ricin oil), biodegradable, zero microplastics, PEG-free, vegan.
- Appearance: Fine solid white microspheres / pearls, neutral odor.
- Particle Shape: Spherical, ensuring a pleasant glide on the skin.
- Indicative Dosage: 1-10%
- Solubility: Insoluble in water and oil at room temperature, remains in physical suspension.
Properties and Benefits
- Ultra-Gentle Exfoliation: Unlike ground seed granules (which have sharp edges), Rizi-beads are perfectly round, delicately cleansing and smoothing the skin.
- Ideal for Sensitive Skin: The smooth structure allows for use on reactive skin, lips, neck area, or sensitive zones without compromising the lipid barrier.
- Sensory Profile: Softens at body temperature, providing a velvety and caring experience.
- Eco-Friendly Alternative: Decomposes naturally in the environment, replacing synthetic microparticles.
- Neutrality: Does not alter the color of the formula and retains its shape in gel or cream products.
Applications
- Gentle facial gommages and daily cleansing gels, including for sensitive skin.
- Softening lip scrubs, exfoliating masks.
- Foaming shower gels with a light exfoliating effect.
- Delicate gommage creams for hands and body.
Formulation Guide
- Procedure: Typically incorporated into the final phase of the formulation below 40°C; in emulsions and gels, add after they have formed and cooled down.
- Stability: The granules are stable across a broad pH range and compatible with most ingredients commonly used in cosmetics.
- Preventing Sedimentation: In fluid formulas or aqueous gels (such as shower gels), particles tend to settle at the bottom. To keep particles suspended uniformly throughout the product, use thickening agents.
Safety in Use and Storage
Safety Profile: Safe ingredient with good skin tolerance.
Precautions: For external cosmetic use only.
Storage: Keep in a closed container, in a dry and cool place, protected from light.
