Charbon Cleanser
Formula: 37802 Difficulty level: beginner Shelf life: min 6 months pH optimal: -

Phase Ingredients Dosage % Total 50 gr
A Kokum butter 8 4 gr
A Cetearyl alcohol 12 6 gr
A Surfactant SCI 50 25 gr
A Coco-betain Surfactant 10 5 gr
A Distilled water 13 6,5 gr
B Activated Charcoal 4 2 gr
B Rosemary essential oil 1 17 drop
B Grapefruit essential oil 2 35 drop

1. Heat the ingredients of phase A in a heatproof glass on a water bath. Mix slowly and thoroughly in the meantime. When a smooth paste has formed, remove from heat.

2. Add the ingredients from phase B to phase A and mix well.

3. Quickly transfer the mixture to a soap mould and flatten the surface.

4. Leave to harden on a flat surface for at least 4 hours. Remove the mold from the mold and place on a towel or rack to dry. After 48 hours it can be used.

The result is a gentle skin cleanser that removes excess sebum and impurities. It contains no soap and does not dry out the skin, leaving it smooth and clean.

Hello! To achieve a soft consistency, you should decrease the dosage to Cetearyl alcohol and Tensida SCI, supplementing the water accordingly. The optimal amounts we cannot indicate without testing, but you will need Cosgard for preservation with these changes.

Hello! Replacing the kokum butter with cocoa butter does not greatly influence the texture and hardness of the final product. Keep in mind that immediately after prep, the cleanser is still relatively soft, it hardens over the next few days.

Hello. I replaced the kokum butter with cocoa butter, but the cleanser came out a bit soft. I want to make more but still don't have kokum butter. Could I add stearic acid to the formula to toughen it up? Thanks

In this recipe we cannot recommend substituting SCI tenside, it would need reformulation and testing.
