Hi Paula, Moisturizing Tenside supports moisturization in tenside-based preparations, increases viscosity and improves softness, i.e. creates a velvety and smooth feeling for skin and hair. We cannot recommend a suitable substitute. You could possibly substitute tensida gentle base, but it will lack that ounce of moisturizing effect.

Hello. Instead of the moisturizing tenside which is not in stock can I use something else, if yes in what concentration/gram? Thank you.

Hello Ancuța, Tastes differ from person to person. Vanilla flavoring could be combined with chamomile, lime or neroli water. In the case of the coffee flavoring, we recommend you do some compatibility tests to see the final effect. Have a sunny day!

Hi Mihaela, The first two substitutions are fine. The addition of coffee extract and coffee butter respectively is not possible, because in aqueous formulations without emulsifiers, lipophilic ingredients generally cannot be included, Good luck!

Hello! I appreciate ellemental products very much and I am glad that these recipes exist! I am still a beginner and I would like to know if it is possible to realize this shower gel recipe with the following modifications: 1. Replace the rosemary water with witch hazel water 2. Replace Fresh Marine fragrance with Vanilla Flowers fragrance 3. I would like to add CO2 Coffee Extract, but don't know where and how much 4. Would it be possible to add coffee butter? If so, where and how much? Thank you in advance and have a nice day!

Hello! Use a precision scale. Even liquid ingredients can be weighed, it is the most accurate method.

Hello. I also have a question. How can I measure such small quantities? And I noticed that for liquid products the quantities are also in grams. Thank you.

Paula, in addition to the rosemary water you can use either of the two floral waters, perhaps lavender water would suit better. Have a lovely day!

Thank you for the prompt reply. The dosage was correct, maybe the problem was with the tenside consistency, maybe it needed to be more fluidized, I poured it like this, it didn't seem viscous to me, but maybe that was the problem. Or maybe the addition of 5%, or about 12 g. of glycerin. One last question, what can I replace the rosemary water with? I don't have enough to make the product again. Should I add something in between the mint water and lavender water. Could I add to the rosemary water in addition, one of the above? Which would be more suitable? Thank you again,

Hello Paula. Xanthan gum is incompatible with grapefruit pit extract, and if they are included in the same formula, the composition destabilizes both physically and microbiologically, therefore it is not recommended to use such a product. Even if cosgard is added later, it cannot repair the product. Regarding coconut surfactant, it is specified in each recipe whether it should be diluted or not. In the present recipe it is used in powder form, mixed with the tenside consistency in phase B, i.e. without prior dilution. If the end result is too viscous, this may be due to either the xanthan gum being too high (perhaps not weighed correctly) or the consistent surfactant not being diluted beforehand - a hint given in the recipe instructions. Still on the subject of viscosity, this type of surfactant-based product takes on its final consistency and texture the day after preparation.

Good morning, Please kindly help me with some advice regarding this recipe, Unfortunately by carelessness I put at the end concentrated grapefruit pips extract concentrate. Can I still repair the product? I know that it is incompatible with xanthan gum, but I do not know what this incompatibility is? Can it really no longer be used? Another question about coconut surfactant. The recipe specifies 10%, that is 25g, I respected this amount but undiluted, I did not turn it into liquid tenside, which I think I should have done because the end result was something viscous, hard to put in the final container. I know this is very concentrated but I also think you should have specified somewhere, made a note about this aspect.Since the amount used was within the specifications in the product sheet I figured that is the amount undiluted with water. Now my question is, given the two mistakes, can I still add the water, and add the cosgard? Or can I throw the product away? Can it still be used in any way? Thank you in advance and have a nice day, All the best, Paula

Yes, you can add castor pearls in the recipe, and the gel can be used for the complexion. We cannot recommend a substitute for Cosgard in this formula. Have a nice day.

Hello Alina! Unfortunately you can't make the substitution, the moisturizing tenside doesn't foam much, the washing power is reduced and it is not used at a dosage higher than 7%.

Hello Alexandra, Being preserved with Cosgard, which because of its salicylic acid content is contraindicated for children under 3 years of age in preparations that remain applied to the skin, we are sometimes perhaps too cautious when formulating and making recommendations for little ones. We have recommended this gel for children over 3 years of age, although according to European regulations it can be used, as it is a product that rinses off the skin. It is up to you to decide whether your child is sensitive or prone to allergies.
