Hi Lavinia, The balm tube is generally suitable for more creamy lip balms. Theoretically you could be using a balm tube, although the firmness of the lipstick may make it difficult to unscrew and screw the lipstick stick on when using. We possibly recommend greasing the inside of the tube before pouring the lipstick into the mold. Good luck!

Hello Alina, As you mentioned, in the cosmetics industry it is only expected. Exact information we do not have, we are also waiting for the regulations and recommended alternatives. A suitable replacement at the moment we cannot recommend. Have an easy day!

Hello, I want to make a natural lipstick and I would like to eliminate titanium dioxide (since it has been banned by the European Union in food and is expected to be eliminated from cosmetics due to its negative effects on health). I want to make a natural lipstick. For mattifying lipstick I have tried calcium carbonate and white clay but to no avail, as well as zinc oxide (although it mattifies it is still a controversial ingredient and it hardens lipstick very hard and does not feel pleasant on the lips at all). Do you know of any natural alternatives? Thank you!

Hello Cristina, Without tests it's hard to judge. We recommend recipe 75888 Savanna Rose, possibly replacing pigment 60 Mauve with 59 Wine Red, using the same amount.

Can you please suggest me what color combinations and at least approximate amounts I should do to get a solid lipstick with the shade of Formula: 17235. Thank you.

Hello Cora, Finding the perfect lipstick shade that's just right for you requires patience, experience and repeated trials. We recommend, on your first try, to make the lipstick with matte 18 red pigment only, then you can start by combining it with other pinker pigments (matte 10 pink), for a slightly more brownish shade matte 69 brick red, or other pigments as you prefer. Good luck!

I really like the matte pigment 18 red. And because of the shade I've thrown away enough commercial lipsticks, I want to make my own, but it's not that simple. If I put only 18 matte (eliminating the pearl 77) is it ok? The shade of the matte one is exactly what I want, but I'm interested in a more discreet, not garish.

I second. I followed the formula exactly and got a brownish shade. Unfortunately I can't post picture to the comment to illustrate.

The combination recommended in the recipe is the most vivid option available to us with the natural pigments in our range. Have a nice day.

Hello Denisia. The lipstick made from this recipe is a moderate strength lipstick, like regular lipsticks.

Hello Anca. The matte pigment 18 is not a bright red, it has a brownish tint, but combined with pigment 77 it results in a lipstick color like the one in the recipe photo. These pigments come from a manufacturer who contractually guarantees to keep the colors identical, regardless of the batch. We haven't received any reports from customers that there is a problem with this pigment, we will check the current batches. In the case of the problem you reported, what we can think of is that you may not have dosed the pigments accurately. Did you make the recipe without any changes to the ingredients?

Interesting idea....I'm just thinking about it. How long does it last on the lips? Titanium paste doesn't really appeal to me...otherwise...let's see how it turns out. Thanks for the wonderful recipes!
