Hello, In this case, we recommend replacing 75% of the nilotica shea butter with organic shea butter and 25% with almond or caprilis oil to obtain a similar structure to nilotica shea butter. Bacuri butter can be substituted with ucuuba.

Hello! I'd like to make this recipe, but in a larger quantity (I want to make some holiday gifts). If I replace the Nilotica Shea butter with Shea Bio, which oil should I use or would it be good to use? (I saw below that you said to add the butter 75% and the oil 25%. I assume this proportion is calculated from the total Nilotica Shea Butter). What could I replace the tub butter with, as I notice it is not in stock at the moment? Thanks!

Hello Lucia, Body butters based on butters and oils are more suitable for dry, chapped or sensitive skin that needs extra emollients. The main difference between these body butters and body butters prepared by emulsification is that the latter include water, which makes them lighter and allows them to be absorbed more quickly than oily body butters. The latter are ideal for normal to oily skin types.

Hello Stefania, The secret of body butters, especially this recipe is, that the melted butters are kept in the freezer only until they start to harden, to become opaque. Do not let it harden very hard. In this semi-molten phase you start mixing, blending the butter to get a fluffy structure, then add the ingredients from phase B.

Hello, I notice after I add the starch and mix...in the final form you can see some small balls through the butter, it is not a smooth texture, do you know why? I see in your picture that they look the same, like bubbles

Hello, Cristina! Thank you for your appreciation, we are very happy! The optimal temperature for storing body butter is room temperature, it should not be kept in the fridge, we have found that it keeps its texture and appearance at 25°C without any problems. Good thoughts and greetings to the whole family!

Hello. What is the optimal storage temperature for this recipe? In warm weather should it be kept in the refrigerator? The preparation is wonderful! :) I keep it in the fridge, but I want to prepare it for a loved one...:):) Thank you for all you do for us dear people! Since I discovered you I don't buy any cosmetic products, I prepare everything, and my family is happy. Ex: my 8 year old daughter brushes her teeth in excess, happy that her mom makes toothpaste :)))

Dear Katalin, the greenish tint is given by the green mandarin essential oil and it is important to follow the recipe exactly, without changing the ingredients or quantities.

The colour turned completely brown for me, nothing to do with the greenish shade.

Hello! You can use any fragrance or essential oil, they only influence the color of the final product, not the texture. When substituting butters look for similar texture and hardness. For example, nilotica shea butter is softer than the softest butters (mango and shea) and can be substituted with mango/plain shea 75%+25% vegetable oil; bacuri is similar to nilotica. What's advantageous with such compositions is that you can also modulate the viscosity later, supplementing with oil or butter to get the desired fluffiness. Good luck!

good I would like to get more fluffiness like this, but with different ingredients; I guess I can use any flavoring or essential oil, what could I replace the 3 butters with, so as to be more diversified, and get more combinations, but still the same fluffy texture? Kokum butter could be substituted by cocoa butter, I understand, it needs to be harder; and the other 2? can oils be added in this combination for a fluffy effect? thanks !

Not with oil, but you can use cosmetic starch (not lipophilic) or micronized rice powder.
