Hello Alina, Instead of sodium PCA we can recommend glycerin or propanediol in the same amount. The formula is suitable for the complexion and can be enriched with hyaluronic acid LMW by adjusting the amount of water.

Hello! Is it possible to remove Sodium PCA and add LWM hyaluronic acid instead? I would like to prepare this serum for my complexion. Thank you!

Hello Elena, Due to the incompatibility of DHA self-tanner with the following ingredients, such as mineral pigments, iron oxides, titanium dioxide, aloe vera, cocamidopropyl betaine, magnesium stearate, anionic emulsifiers, collagen, urea derivatives, amino acids and proteins, this ingredient cannot be included in complex recipes. If you wish to add it to a cream or serum, we recommend adding DHA in the recommended percentage to the amount to be applied to the skin immediately before use.

Hello Emilia, Although this serum is recommended for hands, it can also be used on the face and even around the eyes. If you feel a stinging, stinging sensation, be sure to measure the pH of the serum and if it is lower than the recommended value, adjust it to the recommended value by continuously adding arginine and constantly measuring the pH.

Hello, I made this serum, tried it on my skin and felt little stinging/stinging only in certain areas of my skin, specifically on my cheekbones. Is this normal? Can you make a more specific recommendation, i.e. when is it good to use it? In the evening after cleansing or can it be used instead of cream itself?

Hi Laura, In principle you can add Vege-collagen to this serum in a percentage of 1-5% with adjusting the amount of water. All the best!

Hello Estera, Because azelaic acid is in crystal form, this ingredient cannot be added to preparations as such. It requires prior hot dissolution in propanediol or other glycols. Including azelaic acid in this formulation would require reformulation of the recipe.

Hello! I would like to add Aloe vera gel, but thinking to not spoil the PH and redevelop bacterial growth? And if I can use softdermo as a preservative, does it conflict with PSA? And thinking to add cucumber extract and green tea extract.

Hello! You can fortify the serum with vitamin C MAP, but licorice extract is not water soluble and its dispersion in the gel structure of the serum can be difficult as it is relatively viscous. Decrease the water dosage appropriately, you can also use melissa water - a good choice. The serum can also be used around the eyes.

Hello ! I'd like to add vitamin C MAP, 3% and licorice extract CO2, 0.5% , decreasing accordingly the amount of floral water (I'm thinking to use lemon balm water). I want to apply this serum on my face. Is it okay to add these 2 ingredients and these percentages ? If yes, is it okay to apply the serum around the eyes ? The other ingredients are the same as in the recipe , also their percentages. Thank you !

Hello! Oligo can be omitted, possibly replace with the LMW variant. We do not recommend supplementing HMW hyaluronic acid because it would gel the serum too much. All the best!

Good evening, I would like to do the serum but I don't have OLIGO hyaluronic acid only HMW? Can the OLIGO be left out and still be replaced by HMW? Or with what else it could be replaced Thanks! Carmen Tessaro

Victoria, in our experience, sodium PCA cannot replace glycerol in applications such as dissolving or wetting materials/ingredients. Have a nice day!

Dear Elemental, thank you for your quick reply. Actually, I would also like to know whether Na-PCA can replace - in terms of effect - glycerol in its entirety? I usually dissolve in glycerine some cosmetic ingredients (hyaluronic acid, xanthan gum, some vitamins, etc) to avoid clumping. Is Na-PCA suitable for this? Thank you very much
