ACX Gum – Stabilization, Texturizing, Elegant Gels
ACX Gum is a natural rheology modifier composed of Acacia gum and Xanthan gum, which successfully resolves the main drawbacks of classic xanthan gum, offering aqueous solutions an elegant and non-sticky texture. It is suitable for stabilizing emulsions, suspending particles, and creating serums and gels, exhibiting good resistance in electrolyte-rich or acidic pH environments.
The combination of Acacia and Xanthan creates a complex three-dimensional polymeric network. Acacia gum acts as a protective colloid that reduces interfacial tension, while Xanthan gum increases resting viscosity, providing superior resistance to oil phase separation in Oil in Water (O/W) emulsions. It is obtained through an innovative and sustainable manufacturing process.

Main Properties
- Emulsion stabilizer: Secures the structure of creams and emulsified serums, preventing phase separation.

- Suspending capacity: Keeps insoluble particles in formulas homogeneously suspended and distributed, such as mineral pigments or active micro-crystals.
- Non-occlusive film-former: Forms a discreet protective layer on the epidermal surface, helping retain water and protecting the skin barrier from environmental factors.

Formulation Guide
ACX Gum is a versatile and easy-to-process ingredient.
- Typically used at a dosage of 0.1-0.5% for serums, emulsions, creams; at a dosage of 1.0-2.5% for shampoo, shower gel, hair gels.
- Compatible with most commonly used cosmetic ingredients; compatible with non-ionic, anionic, and amphoteric surfactants; incompatible with cationic surfactants.
- Direct sprinkling technique: Sprinkle over water / another preparation under vigorous stirring. Complete hydration and maximum viscosity development are achieved in approximately 15-20 minutes.
- Pre-dispersion technique: To avoid rapid clumping upon direct contact with water and to shorten gelling time, it can be pre-dispersed in a glycol such as Glycerin or Propanediol (ratio of 1 part gum to 2-3 parts humectant). The resulting mixture is then poured under stirring into the aqueous phase, hot or cold.
- pH Range: Stable and active in a broad pH spectrum, between 3.0 and 12.0.
