Hi Diana, Either of the two options is possible, but 0.5% xylitol doesn't do much to sweeten the toothpaste.

Good evening! In this recipe can I eliminate the licorice extract or possibly use xylitol in the same percentage? If it can be eliminated, do I increase the water percentage?

Hello! In principle yes, but we have not tested this ingredient in oral hygiene formulas, it may be bitter, dose in moderation.

Hello. Glycerin only preserves the composition if it is in a high dosage and the formula contains little water. In this recipe cosgard preservative is not optional, it is required.

Hello, Given that no preservative was used in another toothpaste containing glycerin, what is the difference here? You said that glycerin self-preserves the preparation. Is the preservative necessary? Or can it be removed? Thanks

Hello Ruxandra. You can include menthol in a toothpaste, it needs to be made into a very fine powder, we estimate that 0.2-0.3% would be enough. As for the olive pit exfoliant, it has a grittiness that is not suitable for such applications in our opinion.

Hello, Could I introduce in a toothpaste: menthol crystals (hammered in a grinder) and/or exfoliant made from olive pips? If yes, what quantity would be ok?Thank you very much!

Georgiana, xilytol is optional, it can be included for sweetening but also for its anticavity properties. The recipe contains Cosgard preservative.

Xilytol does not appear in the recipe, but it is present in the list of products needed for preparation. Should it be used? When and in what quantity? And no preservative should be used for this toothpaste?
