Silky Concealer with Vitamin C
Formula: 251412 Difficulty level: beginner Shelf life: min 12 months pH optimal: -

Phase Ingredients Dosage % Total 10 gr
A Titanium paste 25 2,5 gr
A Camellia Oil 20 2 gr
A Cosmetic pigment oxide 09 Yellow 0,6 0,06 gr (2 lg DROP)
A Cosmetic pigment oxide 23 Brown 0,3 0,03 gr (1 lg DROP)
A Cosmetic pigment oxide 26 Black 0,1 0,01 gr(¼ lg DROP)
A Vitamin C Palmitate 2,5 0,25 gr
B Coco-silicone 20 2 gr
B Sericite 19 1,9 gr
B Magnesium stearate 12,5 1,25 gr

1. Add the ingredients of phase A to the mortar in the order given in the recipe - pay attention to the dosage of the black pigment! Mix slowly and thoroughly for approx. 2 minutes until a smooth, homogeneous paste is obtained.

2. Add the ingredients of phase B to phase A and mix again for approx. stir for 2 minutes.

Now test the colour and shade. From the pigments indicated in the recipe you get the ivory shade with neutral undertone. To obtain darker shades, add a third of the pigments proportionally. For the warm/yellowish undertone use a little more yellow pigment and a little less brown pigment, and for the cool/pinkish undertone the reverse. There is no need to adjust the quantity to the other ingredients. If pigments have been added at this stage, thorough homogenisation is needed again for 2-3 minutes

3. The composition thus prepared is transferred to the dedicated container. For transfer we recommend a syringe (without needle).

An easy-to-prepare, fluid concealer with a professional texture. Sensory wise is very pleasant, not greasy but not drying on the skin. It has medium to high coverage

Hello, All three types of mortars listed (glass, porcelain ceramic) are suitable for your cosmetic mini-laboratory. Good luck!

Hello! What kind of grinder and pistil should I purchase for this recipe (and in general, for my home mini-mill)? I've been looking and there are several kinds: glass, porcelain or ceramic; then there are glazed or unglazed. Thanks!

It is preferable not to add essential oil to this recipe. Have a nice day!

Can I add a drop of lavender essential oil or is it likely to irritate? Thank you

Hello, Raluca! It is indeed a successful recipe, which we Elemental girls use. As a formula it doesn't present any impediment to be applied as a foundation, it is however quite high coverage, but if spread well, in a thin layer, and finished with a light powder if needed, it is also suitable for such applications. Good thoughts!

Hello. I tried the recipe and it is extraordinary! Congratulations! Out of curiosity, I applied all over my face and I like it very much. Can it also be used as a foundation? I have slightly oily skin. Thanks a lot!

Dear Elemental! This has turned out to be a very good corrector. I use it for dark circles around the eyes, to brighten the under-eye area, but it's also good for minor blemishes. It's long lasting, covers really well and doesn't sit in my creases (I have them). I've been testing it for two days and it's hot right now, but it's lasted all day. It takes a very tiny dot of it, persistently dabbed in with fingertips, preferably a little bit more if there's not enough coverage. So far I've only done creams, face washes and serums, somehow I didn't feel like I needed to do deco cosmetics. But the other day my CC cream was so good, and I was so into messing around with pigments, I thought I'd give it a try.

This concealer is suitable for all skin types in general. We recommend applying the concealer at least 5 min after applying a moisturizer suitable for your skin type.

I made absolutely no modifications and I weighed exactly the amounts in the recipe... Is it possible to have this effect because of my skin type? I mean if you have sensitive or slightly dry skin..

Hello, Adriana. Have you made any ingredient substitutions or other changes? Normally, such an effect should not occur if one has worked with the given ingredients and dosed appropriately.

Hi, why does it clumps and dries on the skin after 2 seconds after application? Thanks!
