Hello Gabriella, In principle yes, you can add lipophilic starch to this formula, adjusting the percentage of zinc oxide at the same time. As these two ingredients affect the solidity of the ointment differently, in the absence of tests, we cannot give you an exact percentage of lipophilic starch. We recommend testing small amounts to achieve both the optimal consistency and the desired feel. Have a sunny day!

Hello! Can lipophilic corn starch be added to this formula to reduce the greasy texture that remains on the skin a few minutes after application?

Hello Cornelia, Boxes and tubes are more common in terms of cosmetic packaging. Aluminum has the ability to protect against germs, but in general metal packaging requires more experienced staff. Some metals can leach into preparations, especially those with high concentrations of essential oils (5%+) or extreme pHs; deterioration can be unattractive; metal can rust. Metal packaging is excellent for oil-based concoctions. Not recommended for lotions as water can trigger rust. Also, speaking of adequate flexibility, certain products cannot be packaged in metal containers due to their reactive nature. Have an easy day!

Hello! Can cream also be kept in a metal container? I mean aluminum containers? Are there any restrictions regarding the storage of creams/balms/putties or other products in these containers? Thanks in advance for your answer! Have a nice day!

Hello, Oils with similar properties are: andiroba, aloe vera, St. John's wort. Keep in mind that substituting oils may affect the final color of the ointment.

Hello, Horsetail oil is a key ingredient in Calamine Salve. Oils with somewhat similar properties would be oils: andiroba, aloe vera, St. John's wort. Keep in mind that substituting oils may affect the final color of the ointment.
