Description
A natural polyphenol with powerful antioxidant activity, it works to maintain skin's youthful appearance, prevents photo-aging and helps protect skin from environmental damage. A very popular ingredient in high-end cosmetic formulations.

FORMULATION GUIDELINES
It is almost insoluble in water or oils, so it should be solubilized in glycols, ethanol or similar solubilizers at ~45-50°C prior to addition to formulations.
Alternatively, resveratrol powder may be added to the aqueous phase or oil phase, preferably under hot conditions and before emulsification; in case of solubility issues, premix as mentioned above.
Use opaque packaging for the final product.
Optimum pH 3.0 - 6.5. Exposure to higher pH values may cause discoloration of the formulation.
