Hyaluron LIPO
Description
LIPO Hyaluronic Acid – Lipid Micro-Dispersion
LIPO Hyaluronic Acid is specially designed to introduce the deep hydrating benefits of hyaluronic acid (normally soluble only in water) into anhydrous cosmetic products or those with a predominantly oily phase. Upon application to the skin or lips, the outer lipid barrier fuses with skin lipids, gradually releasing hyaluronic acid molecules that capture moisture from deep within. The result is a replumping effect - a visual increase in volume and definition, smoothing of fine lines, and long-lasting repair of the texture of dry or rough skin and lips.
Obtained through plant biotechnology processes, this active uses an innovative micro-dispersion technology: low molecular weight sodium hyaluronate molecules are encapsulated and evenly distributed within a stable matrix of castor oil and castor wax.
Ingredients (INCI): Sodium Hyaluronate, Ricinus Communis Seed Oil, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Tocopherol
Technical Characteristics
- Appearance at 20°C: Unctuous paste, yellowish-white color.
- Solubility: Completely insoluble in water. Dispersible and miscible in oils, plant butters, esters, and cosmetic fats.
- Cosmetic function: Volumizing agent (lip-plumping), humectant, textural repairer, long-lasting emollient.
- Indicative dosage: 0.1% - 2%
Main Properties
- Plumping and Densifying Effect: Visually increases lip volume by capturing water from lower epidermal layers.
- Repairing for Dry Lips: Quickly smooths flakes and restores the velvety appearance of lips affected by wind, cold, or sun.
- Dual Hydro-Lipidic Shield: The castor oil matrix creates an outer occlusive film that locks in moisture evaporation, while hyaluronate infuses hydration from within.
- Compatibility with Anhydrous Products: Allows for the creation of high-performance lipsticks, glosses, sticks, and balms without compromising the structure or melting point of the final product.
Applications
- Cosmetic ingredient suitable for preparing: rich creams, balms, ointments, after-sun products, makeup products, foundations, BB creams, lipsticks, lip balms.
- Protective lip balms and sticks (Lip Balms).
- Lipsticks and lip glosses with a volumizing and tinting effect (Lip Gloss / Lip Plumpers).
- Overnight lip treatment masks (Lip Sleeping Masks).
- Facial creams and rich emulsions intended for mature or very dry skin.
- Makeup products - foundations, BB creams, concealers with intense hydrating action.
Formulation Guide
LIPO Hyaluronic Acid presents as a dense paste at room temperature and requires a specific incorporation method to ensure a homogeneous dispersion of the active micro-spheres:
- Procedure in Anhydrous Products (Balms, Sticks): Add directly into the warm oil phase of the preparation. Heat the mixture in a water bath to a temperature between 65°C and 80°C until the paste melts completely and becomes fluid. It is essential to maintain continuous and rigorous stirring both during the heated phase and throughout the cooling process to prevent sedimentation of the hyaluronic acid micro-particles and to ensure even distribution within the wax/butter/oil network.
- Procedure in Emulsions (Creams): Incorporate into the oil phase of the emulsion before the hot mixing process. Resists standard emulsification temperatures well.
- Fluid oily products: Not suitable for fluid products as it may migrate to the bottom of the container if the structure of the preparation is not dense enough to keep the hyaluron particles in suspension.
Safety in Use and Storage
Safety Profile: High-purity product, composed of bio-compatible ingredients of natural origin. Non-irritating and safe for the lip mucosa and sensitive facial skin. Possesses no allergenic potential.
Warnings: For external cosmetic use only.
Storage: In a tightly closed container, in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight.
