Description
Aqueous based mineral UV filter designed for beach sun care formulations, in particular products for sensitive skin. Combines an exceptional level of UVA protection with high UVB efficacy. Easy to work with, gives light and elegant skin feel. Non-nano.
Provides a much higher level of UVA protection than traditional sunscreen grades of TiO2, while maintaining the high UVB protection.
Can be used as the sole active ingredient to create inorganic only, high SPF sunscreen formulations that are broad spectrum and also have global compliance.
Composition: hydrophobically coated titanium dioxide with a mean particle size of 179nm dispersed in water. Contains 50% solids.

FORMULATION GUIDE
- easy to use, can be stirred into the water phase before emulsification
- is most suited to O/W emulsions but can be successfully incorporated into W/O systems
- the SPF of a sunscreen product depends greatly on the formulation, so it is not possible to give definitive rules to say that a certain percentage of an active ingredient will give a certain SPF
- guideline: every 1% solids provides approximately 2-3 SPF units
- provides excellent compatibility with other ingredients commonly used in such applications

Very happy that I bought it, I still use other creams but can't wait to use it, I'm fed up with commercially available barrier creams, I find a drawback with each one. What I have gotten so far, made with products from here, are wonderful!

I also have to add a bit of color pigment when using it in a cream, as it whitens it a bit, but I'm very pleased that we can make our own creams for myself and my family, especially sunscreen ones.

I HAVE BEEN USING IT FOR MANY YEARS AND I AM VERY SATISFIED.MY SKIN DOES NOT SUPPORT CHEMICAL FILTERS IN COMMERCIAL SPF-URILE CHEMICAL FILTERS. WITH IT I HAVE NEVER HAD PROBLEMS WITH REDNESS OR SENSITIZATION. BOTH THAT WHITENS AND SHOULD ALWAYS FORMULATE A CREAM COLORED AS SPF. MAYBE BRING SOMETHING ELSE THAT DOES NOT ALWAYS REQUIRE COLORING THE CREAM, SUCH AS THE NEW ZINC SUSPENSIONS.

I used the product in a sunscreen. It's effective and gives quite a lot of coverage. It is not noticeable on very fair complexions, for people with more intense skin pigment it also requires the addition of specific coloring pigments.

This product must not be missing from your product shelf. In the compositions combined with ferulic acid it increases the degree of protection. Very good considering it protects from uva but also uvb.
