Solid face cleanser
Formula: 32801 Difficulty level: medium Shelf life: min 6 months pH optimal: -

Phase Ingredients Dosage % Total 50 gr
A Coconut oil 10 5 gr
A Stearic acid 10 5 gr
A SCI Surfactant 55 27,5 gr
A Coco-betain Surfactant 10 5 gr
A Distilled water 10 5 gr
A Red soap colour(optional) 1 drop*
B Aromatic Strawberry extract 3 1,5 gr
B Natural fragrance oil Aloe Bamboo 2 1 gr

*Very little dye is needed to achieve a light pink colour. We suggest diluting a single drop in a larger amount of water, of which then use as much as needed.

1. Heat the ingredients of phase A in a heatproof glass on a water bath. Stir slowly, thoroughly, in the meantime. When a homogeneous paste has formed, remove from heat.

2. Add the ingredients from phase B to phase A and mix well.

3. Quickly transfer the mixture to a soap mould and smooth the surface well.

4. Leave to harden on a flat surface for at least 4 hours. Remove the bar from the mold and place on a towel or rack to dry. After 48 hours it can be used.

The result is a gentle skin cleansing product, it is soap-free and does not dry out the skin, forms a creamy lather and leaves the skin smooth, clean and velvety soft

Hello Claudia, Kojic acid is only effective in leave-on products. In rinse-off products, even if it could be introduced, kojic acid does not have the desired effect. .

Hello! Is it possible to use essential oil instead of the B phases, the two fragrances? If yes, what quantity? Thank you!

Hello! We suggest removing the stearic acid from the recipe and increasing the coconut oil dosage accordingly. If it doesn't come out soft enough then you will need to increase the water, in which case you will also need a preservative. Good luck!

Hello! Regarding this recipe, keeping the same ingredients, I would like to change the percentages a bit so that I get a cleanser that doesn't harden so much, that I can put it in a creamer and take it with my fingers and put it on my face. What percentage should I change to what ingredient to get a different consistency. Precizez that I'm doing an experiment, I don't mind if it doesn't come out the way I wanted. Thank you!

Yes, we know it's more difficult to work with this variant, but unfortunately they don't make the old small-grained variant anymore. We are looking for another manufacturer, we are trying as soon as possible to solve this inconvenience. Have an easy day!

Tensida SCI it seems that you have to put it through the ricer , otherwise it doesn't melt . If a large amount is made , it is very uncomfortable , especially because that dust rises very easily and becomes irritating to the airways even with mask , gloves, glasses . It's hard to shave 100g at a time , when you lift the lid of the rasnita much dust rises in the room . I wanted to ask if you could bring an easier to use version for large quantities. Thanks!

Hello! You can include Varisoft, decrease the dosage appropriately on the stearic acid. Maybe the calup will come out a little softer, I haven't tested it. Good luck.

Hello! If I want it to have a conditioning effect, to work both on dry and oily hair, can I add Varisoft 6%? I prefer this recipe and not those for shampoos because I would like to avoid SCS, which seems to be irritating for some people. Thanks!

Hi Bianca! Substitution can be made, it does not significantly affect the consistency of the product.

Hello! Could I use caprylis oil instead of coconut oil? Does it influence the consistency of the product? Thanks in advance!

Thank you! Yes I also have SLSA and SCS. Which would be the best and natural one for the face?

Hello. You can also basically use SLSA if you are in the mood.

Hello. I would like to ask if coconut tenside can be left out or if I can replace it with something else. Here in Greece it is not in powder form only liquid. Thank you and congratulations for the awesome recipes!

That's right Gabriella, unfortunately you can't substitute liquid tenside for the powder in this recipe. Have a nice day!

Because of the low water content of this recipe, I assume you can't substitute the powder with liquid tenside, right? Because I think you need 15 grams of liquid sugar. If not, please correct me. Thank you very much.

Alina, I haven't measured the pH of this formula, but I estimate it's in the optimal range for the skin - not alkaline. For a higher harshness, you can increase the stearic acid dosage (decreasing the oil accordingly) but in our experience, the cleanser hardens in the days following preparation. Thanks for your appreciation,

I made this solid cleanser with some modifications: mango butter instead of coconut butter 10%, stearic acid 10%, tenside SCI 55%, tenside coconut 10%, water 10%, watermelon aromatic extract 3%, fragrance freesia 2%. The questions are: what should be the pH of this cleanser and what should I change to have a higher hardness (it feels softer in the palms). Thanks and congratulations to the team! It always gets me out of a jam!
