Hello, Yes, some ingredients are replaceable. You can replace Neroli water with Blueberry water and green tea extract with red vine extract. The other suggested ingredients are either insoluble in water or require heating and/or reformulating the recipe. Have an easy day!

Hello. Can I replace certain ingredients? Neroli water with blueberry water, green tea extract with caffeine or green mandarin extract and aha fruit acids with red vine extract? What else can I replace green tea extract with? Can I use LMW hyaluronic acid?

Hello Aida, Replacing the two floral waters is in order. Deposition, precipitation occurs because of the two ingredients with a very high pH difference, i.e. AHA and sodium bicarbonate, a normal phenomenon in such cases.

Hello, I made this toner twice, and the next day I get a deposit. I mention that I replaced the neroli water with one available from albastrele and since the ph was quite low I added some baking soda. What exactly could have gone wrong? I get this every time I use Aha

Hello Aida, Silk protein, in this recipe, you can replace it, for example with city-guard or panthenol. Have a sunny day!

Dear Katalin, Indeed, for the exfoliating effect of AHA you need a low pH, and for the vitamin C variants mentioned you need a higher pH. The dosage of AHA fruit acid is also not set in the formula for the exfoliating effect. However, this recipe is a facial tonic, not an exfoliating formulation. Fruit acids have other beneficial properties for the skin that do not require an acidic medium. We always value quality reviews, including negative ones, because they are constructive. We can be wrong and learning is ongoing. Have a nice day!

If you would allow me, I would like to write a review of this recipe....but unfortunately it is a negative review. There are two active ingredients in this recipe that unfortunately do not go together. The reason is as follows. This means that the final pH of the tonic must be set at about 3.5. 2) And Vitamin C (whether in the MAP or SAP form) exerts its effects at a slightly higher pH. But mostly between 5.8 and 6.2. So either make an AHA fruit acid topical at a low pH, or make a Vitamin C tonic at about pH 6. Even though 5.5 is the ideal pH for the skin, there are one or two ingredients where exceptions should be made. In this recipe, in principle, only the silk protein, extracts and flower water are present, the AHA and vitamin C are absorbed by the water and do not prevail. Yours sincerely, Katalin

In your skincare routine, can you apply an oily serum after this toner? Of course, I mean after it has dried on the skin. Thanks!

Is it possible to replace dragon's blood extract or AHA fruit acids with red vine extract?

Hello! Basically you can do the substitution, but the lactic acid having a much lower pH, it has to be dosed in a lower percentage - without tests we cannot tell you the percentage. You can possibly remove the AHA fruit acids from the formula.

I use this preservative because I don't know what other substitute you have for it. Benzyl alcohol is known to irritate the skin. It is used as a fragrance ingredient and preservative, solvent and anti-foaming agent in hand sanitizers, sunscreen products, lotions and baby wipes. There is also evidence that this alcohol is neurotoxic. Scientists believe it has the ability to destroy gut flora. Side effects of using lotions with benzyl alcohol may include itching, irritation, redness, and numbness or tingling at the application site. Children under 3 years of age are particularly at risk of toxic effects if they come into contact with benzyl alcohol.

Do not confuse the commonly used term alcohol, which is actually ethyl alcohol (ethanol/ethyl alcohol), with other compounds in the alcohol category such as benzyl alcohol, xylitol or even glycerol. The benzyl alcohol in Cosgard preservative belongs to the category of aromatic alcohols, naturally occurring in various plants, fruits, herbs. It is a potent antimicrobial agent, and if used on the skin in the proper dosage, can at most cause temporary local irritation in subjects prone to contact dermatitis.

You have very good recipes, but I don't understand why you use Cosgard preservative, which contains a lot of alcohol, and alcohol destroys collagen, dries the skin, etc. What is the point of all these wonderful recipes, if we ruin them with this preservative? The skin contains 60% collagen and we come with a cream like this and we harm ourselves by applying a cream with alcohol .Please find a replacement for this Cosgard and take it off the offer , or do tests with another preservative that will really help us . Thanks

Hi Emi. Incompatibility generally refers to physicochemical and/or microbiological characteristics. For example, in our experience, some green tea extract precipitates in most formulations that also contain grapefruit pit extract.
