Classic Toothpaste
Formula: 1860 Difficulty level: beginner Shelf life: min 6 months pH optimal: -

Phase Ingredients Total ~60 ml
A Calcium carbonate 2 level tablespoons (8 g)
A White clay 2 level tablespoons (8 g)
B Peppermint essential oil 10-15 drops

1. In a bowl mix the ingredients of phase A slowly and thoroughly.

2. Over the powders add the essential oil and mix slowly, thoroughly. Transfer the resulting composition to a glass jar.

It is not suitable for children, but if you replace the peppermint essential oil with 5-7 drops of red mandarin or lemon essential oil, possibly with an addition of 1 tsp xylitol, then the powder can also be used by little ones.

A larger amount can be made, and divided into several jars, one for each member of the family.

A tooth powder with a simple formula that is quick and easy to prepare. It is, we can say, a minimalist composition, but it does the job very well.

Use: moisten the toothbrush and dip it into the jar of powder. Brush teeth as usual. During brushing you can add more powder to the toothbrush if needed. It doesn't lather, but teeth will be clean and breath fresh. Dental hygiene powder can be used daily

Hello Cristina. You can also use green clay, but this is more abrasive, or what substitute have you thought of?
