can you replace mango butter with purified shea butter or cocoa butter?

Hello, Iris powder can usually be used in liquid perfumes. The use of iris powder for perfumes is described in the product sheet.

Hello, In the recipes for the solid perfumes I have not indicated the percentages, the base is given in grams and the essences in drops or possibly milliliters. The percentages given in the explanations/indications (70% base - combination of equal parts mango butter and wax - and 30% essences) are actually suggestions for preparing a perfume concrete with an intense fragrance.

Hello and Happy Birthday! I don't know if this is the best place for my comment, but I'll try :) A while ago I read on your website a table with possible combinations between perfumes and essential oils for perfumes, but I can't find it anymore. Did you somehow removed it from your site, or am I making a confusion and actually read it elsewhere? Thank you very much!

diana, Hello, You can also make solid perfumes with beeswax, of course, the texture will be slightly different. You will need a lower percentage of beeswax, estimated half or a little more than that indicated for soy wax. Carnauba or candelilla waxes are not usually used to make these compositions, but they can be included in the formula alongside another wax. You can also try jasmine or tuberose wax.

Hello, Can another type of wax be used instead of soy (beeswax, candelilla or carnauba?). Thank you

To obtain a solid composition suitable for the chosen container, you can use beeswax. The percentages would be: 27% butter, 30% soy wax, 13% beeswax and 30% essences.

I would like to know if I make a perfume concrete, with 70% and 30% can it be poured into a lip balm form? If not, what would the perfume have to contain in order to be solid enough to pour it into such a form?

Elemental, thank you. I also have a small suggestion for you, perhaps you will consider it for the future. It would be marvelous if you could include some essential oil testers. Something like a drop of oil put on a perfume tester/piece of paper and sealed in an airtight bag. I'd love to try all kinds of essences, but I wouldn't spend ca. 50 lei on an absolute and have the surprise that I don't like it and I can't use it.... Have a nice day.

Cristiana, Hello, The number of drops per ml of essential oil is on average 30, but it depends not only on the dropper but also on the density of the product.

Hello, Could you please tell me how many drops contains one ml? On the internet the answers vary: 20, 25, 40 drops, that it varies depending on the dropper etc. What is the ratio for the essential oils in your offer? Thank you.

Flowers, You can also work without oil, just with wax and butter. We added oil to a few recipes because the fragrance initially came out more viscous (strong) and became creamier with the added oil. The viscosity of the final preparation depends not only on the volume of essences added, but also on the degree of liquefaction they exert on the compositions.

Is it possible to leave out the almond oil and replace with the combination of mango butter and soy wax (8+4g)? I have seen that in some recipes this is the combination without the almond oil. And if not, when to use this oil and when not to use it for solid perfumes. Thank you.

Nicoleta, The recipe exemplifies how to prepare a solid perfume with floral citrus notes. You determine the ingredients and the proportion between notes according to your own preferences. The perfumer is not a mathematician, he is an artist. You do what you do best.

Hello! I can't figure out from the recipe...what is the proportion between the top, base and middle notes...are they in equal proportions,...or are some of them in a larger quantity? As far as I know...the top notes should be in greater quantity...but I may be wrong.... Thanks in advance for your answer!

apple, a solid perfume with an intense odor, or perfume concrete - formulated with a higher volume of fragrance essences, in order to remain in a solid state, it needs a base as consistent as possible, therefore the vegetable oil comes out of the formula. The ratio between base and essences is recommended to be 70/30, but you can work with 75/25 or 80/20, even 85/15, and that depends largely on the essences chosen. The ratio is variable on the one hand because some essences can be solid, others are liquid and also liquefy the base to a greater or lesser extent, on the other hand some essences are very strong (absolutes for example or ylang-ylang, cardamom, roses...), others are less intense (citrus for example).

I would like to make a perfume concrete and I want to ask you if it is necessary to use almond oil in the recipe, since you say that an equal amount of mango butter and wax should be used. If it should be used then is it necessary or can I replace it with macadania oil? I would also like you to tell me the exact amounts for a perfume concrete so I don't get it wrong. Thank you!
