Concentrated detergent

Formula: 14097

Phase Ingredients for ~500 ml % Quantity
A environmentally friendly detergent base 70 350 gr
B ethanol (96° alcohol) 15 75 gr
B orange essential oil 2,7 13,5 gr
C distilled water 9 45 gr
C citric acid 1 5 gr
D glycerine 2 10 gr
D xanthan gum 0,3 1,5 gr

Sanitise the dedicated container and all utensils you work with, details in the good practice guide.

Preparation instructions:
Transfer the detergent base to a larger bowl.
In a separate bowl combine the ingredients of phase B.
In another bowl prepare phase C by dissolving citric acid in water.
In a small bowl mix xanthan gum with glycerine to form a paste.

Over phase A, add phases B, C and then D in turn, mixing slowly and thoroughly, avoiding excessive foaming. The solution thus prepared is transferred to the dedicated container or a clean reusable bottle.
Immediately after preparation the solution is still fluid but will thicken over the next 48 hours.
After resting, a yellow, transparent, rather viscous solution results, with high washing and foaming power.

Ethanol can be found in any supermarket in the spirits section under the name Grain Alcohol / Agricultural Alcohol, 96°.

The result is an environmentally friendly concentrated detergent, suitable for degreasing, heavy soiling, sanitising various surfaces in the home and workshop. It can be used as such for removing stubborn dirt, 3-4 drops on a damp cloth or sponge. Can also be used diluted, 3ml in 5 Ltr of water to clean various washable surfaces

Hello! As the density varies greatly in the liquid ingredients of this recipe, we recommend dosing by weighing, this is the most accurate way. The recipe also contains solid ingredients, so you'll need the scale anyway.

Hello! All recipe ingredients are biodegradable. Soap flakes can be added, but we haven't tried such an application, we don't know if it dissolves well and it's possible that it affects the transparency of the finished product.

Hello! Each recipe has the expiration date at the end of the recipe in the beige box. If you are making a more diluted solution that does not contain enough alcohol, you can use cosgard or concentrated grapefruit pit extract 0.6% for preservation.

Hello, what is the shelf life for the concentrated and universal detergent? If more distilled water is added should a preservative be added? If so, which preservative would be best to maximize the shelf life? And in what quantity? Thanks!

Hello! It can be used, but it's too concentrated in our opinion, and would be better suited to universal detergent. To be used for hand dishwashing, about 5% glycerin should be included in the formula.
