Squalane (squalane)

Squalane is a highly stable, lightweight emollient derived from plant sources such as olive or sugarcane. Structurally similar to the skin’s natural lipids, it is exceptionally well tolerated and provides deep hydration without a greasy feel. In cosmetic formulations, it helps reinforce the skin’s barrier, reduce moisture loss, and improve softness and elasticity. Its non-comedogenic and antioxidant properties make it suitable for all skin types, including sensitive and acne-prone skin, and it is commonly found in serums, moisturizers, facial oils, and anti-aging treatments.
