Hello! In general, you can freely combine vegetable oils and butters, there are no incompatibilities, but be aware that there are big differences in terms of action and feel on the skin; for example, cocoa butter is quite greasy, it is better to combine it with lighter oils, less heavy on the skin. For body butters in general, but especially anhydrous butters, we recommend simple or lipophilic starch; iris powder is not microfine.

hello! :) I didn't know where to ask this question and I thought that here is somewhat 'on topic'.. are there oils - for this recipe, or another one in which I would like to replace the recommended oil - with which cocoa butter is not 'compatible'? or can it be combined with anything? :) and for body butters in general - can I use iris (root) powder for a smoother, less greasy feel and better consistency regardless of ambient temperature ? MULTUMESC!!!

Good evening. I made this body butter, in which I replaced vanilla oil with coconut oil, and instead of massoia extract I used natural vanilla flavoring. It came out smooth, creamy, smells divine and goes quickly into the skin, making it extremely soft and velvety. I gave one as a birthday present to my friend and she was of the same opinion. Thanks for the recipe.

Hello. We suggest that after preparation you place the product in the refrigerator until the next day, the texture and viscosity will finalize. With this type of preparation it should be kept in mind that the texture can change slightly depending on the ambient temperature in which they are stored.

Hello. I also made this body butter, with the following modifications: instead of vanilla oil I put coconut oil, instead of rice oil, sesame oil and a natural fragrance instead of massoia extract. Initially, the texture was fluid, like a body milk. Then the composition separated, leaving a yellow, liquid layer at the bottom and a more solid layer on top. Subsequently, I mixed them, in the container, and the composition bound again, but no longer has the initial texture. I use it, given I would have liked to understand why it happened like that. I had a similar thing happen to my shea bath butter. Thank you in advance.

Since you used only liquid oils, you would have needed 15-20% stearic acid or a combination of 10+10% stearic acid and cetyl alcohol to get a smooth cream. You can touch up the composition and supplement the stearic acid. Have a nice day!

Hello! I added stearic acid to a 5% anhydrous cream, but after a few hours some of the oils became liquid again. I only had oils in the recipe not butters. Did I need more? What else can I do?

Hi! Can celtilic alcohol be added to anhydrous body butters or face creams? To be more emollient? Or what else can be added? Thanks!

Hello Carmen! Coffee butter is much softer compared to cocoa butter, and substituting would result in a relatively fluid composition.

Hello Daniela. Massoia extract is a flavoring ingredient and grapefruit pit extract is a preservative that cannot be included in this recipe and is not necessary.

Hello, Instead of massoia extract, can I use concentrated grapefruit stone extract? If it can be substituted, does the amount of extract remain the same? Thank you.
