Yoga mat cleaner

Phase Ingredients Dosage % Total 250 gr
A Solubilizer 8 20 gr
A Lavender essential oil 1,6 4 gr
A Tea tree essential oil 0,6 1,5 gr
A Eucalyptus Globulus essential oil 0,6 1,5 gr
B Distilled water 69,2 173 gr
C 96° alcohol 20 50 gr

1. Add the solubiliser and essential oils to a glass and mix well.
2. Add the water, stir, then add the alcohol and mix thoroughly.
3. Transfer the resulting solution to the dedicated container.

Alcohol can be found at the supermarket in the spirits section under the name Grain Alcohol / Agricultural Alcohol, 96°.
Other suitable essential oils: mint, lemon, grapefruit, niaouli, litsea.

The result is a pleasantly fresh-smelling solution suitable for sanitising yoga and fitness mats. Spray evenly over the surface of the mattress and wipe with a clean, dry cloth. Allow the mat to dry before rolling it out for storage. Spray can be used once every few days, or more often as needed.

Hello, Solubilizer is intended to solubilize essential oils in aqueous compositions. We cannot recommend a similar ingredient.

Hi Ileana, The solubilizer foaming varies depending on the essential oils used in the recipe. Due to the nature of the recipe, which is not developed for direct application to the skin, it can cope with a higher proportion of both solubilizer and ethanol.Best wishes!

Hello, I know this recipe is older but I want to thank you here for the new recipes as well - I noticed them and will get to work :) I would have three questions, please: 1. In the solubilizer datasheet it says 5% to avoid excess foaming, and here you use 8% and yet it doesn't foam (I made it myself). Is there an explanation for this anomaly? (I like to understand what is happening and why) 2. Tot in fisa solubilizantului scrie ca se poate adauga 10% ethanol, in small portions, iar aici se adauga 20% alcool de 96 și nu in portii ci deodata. Is it because it acts as a preservative here? 3. I would make a room spray (solubilizer, essential oil, water) using 20% alcohol as a preservative. Do you have any idea if this combination may present any health problems for those around me (non-allergic but can inhale the components from the air)? Hello I would like to make myself a body spray with an essential oil, solubilizing, rose water. Could you help me with a recipe pt, e.g. to use 25ml Solubilizer how much quantity, ml Rose water to use! Thank you

Hello! We are very glad, that you like the solution prepared from the recipe. You can try it on other surfaces, but we have found that it generally requires rinsing on smooth surfaces. Good thoughts!
