Resveratrol (Resveratrol)

Resveratrol is a high-value polyphenolic antioxidant widely used in cosmetic formulations to help protect skin against the visible effects of environmental stressors, including pollution- and UV-related oxidative damage. It supports a brighter, more resilient appearance by helping reduce the look of dullness and early signs of aging associated with free-radical activity, and is often positioned in “anti-oxidative,” “anti-fatigue,” and tone-support concepts. Due to its sensitivity to light and oxidation, resveratrol is typically incorporated at low use levels using stabilization strategies such as encapsulation, antioxidant pairing, and air- and light-protective packaging. It is commonly found in serums, emulsions, eye-area products, and overnight treatments, frequently combined with complementary antioxidants (e.g., tocopherol, ferulic acid, vitamin C derivatives) and barrier-supporting ingredients to enhance overall performance and comfort. Formulation approach is guided by supplier specifications for solubility and stability to preserve efficacy in leave-on applications.
