Maca Fortis – natural extract for denser, stronger hair
Maca Fortis Extract is obtained from the root of the Lepidium meyenii plant. Native to the high plateaus of the Peruvian Andes, maca is one of the few plants that survive in extreme climatic conditions, altitudes over 4,000 meters, low temperatures, and poor soil, and Andean communities have used it for centuries in their diet as well as in traditional hair and skin care.
Maca root is rich in macaenes and macamides, active compounds specific to this plant that serve as quality markers for the extract. I recommend the product for maintaining healthy hair roots but also because it helps to regenerate hair roots. I have been using it with all my hair conditioners for 5 years.
I include it in the formulation of a shampoo recipe, and I am very satisfied! It stimulates hair growth.
I added this maca extract to an oil preparation (combination of several oils purchased here) I use this mixture before I wash my head with a massage.
I knew about maca, now I also take it internally in the morning (powder), I'm glad I can use it for hair loss too. I needed this extract to prepare the hair tonic recipe which I use quite rarely. Even so it worked and my hair doesn't fall out so much anymore, it also regenerates well. Dissolving the caffeine didn't seem that complicated to me and that's when I decided to make my own tonic, I didn't turn to someone else for that. If you have a bit of time it really is worth the effort and the satisfaction at the end. Generally though, I turn to a friend who saves me when I need some super product with ingredients from this site.
