Jasmine Absolute (Jasminum sambac) is one of the most highly prized ingredients in world natural perfumery - and for well-founded reasons. Its floral-sensual, warm aroma, with honeyed and powdery depths, is considered by perfumers to be one of the most complex and captivating in the plant kingdom.
Charming, inimitable floral, with green and powdery notes, rich and sensual, a splendidly generous element for cosmetic and perfumery creations. It is considered uplifting and aphrodisiac, with a unique scent entirely its own.
A biochemical detail that explains the fascination: the absolute contains indole - a molecule also present in human pheromones, responsible for the hypnotic and slightly animalic quality of the aroma at low concentrations. At high concentrations, the same molecule can generate an unpleasant note, which is why jasmine is dosed minimally and benefits from aging in dilution.

Questions and Answers (FAQ)
Q: Why did I notice an unpleasant, almost chemical note upon first use?
A: This is a common experience at concentrations that are too high. The indole in the composition becomes unpleasant at high doses. The solution is proper dilution (1-2% is sufficient in a perfume, 0.1-0.5% in cosmetics) and aging: a formula with jasmine absolute left for a few weeks rounds out and loses its initial harshness.
Q: Does the absolute last on the skin or disappear quickly?
A: On the skin directly or in cosmetic formulas (creams, oils, balms), the persistence is very good. In ultrasonic or steam diffusers, the heavy molecules of the absolute do not vaporize efficiently, and the aroma seems to disappear quickly. Jasmine works best when applied to the skin, not diffused.

Disappointed because the jasmine absolute, like the rose one doesn't linger more than 10 minutes. I have bought many products from you, I am disappointed with them. They smell divine but they don't linger. I even tried various dilutions, in oil, in alcohol, even using iris powder as a fizizer. The result is the same. No persistence whatsoever! Something is not right because the base notes should persist somewhere around 2-3 hours. Only the top notes are short-lived, they behave disappointingly. So, with the other oils there were no problems but with the absolutes, yes! Not even the frangipani, which was also very expensive, has no flavor, not even subtle! I'm sorry they smell so nice and after 15 minutes there is no trace of perfume. The tobacco absolute lasts 30 minutes, the guaiac one lingers the longest.

Over the last years I used mainly cheap essential oils (not perfume oils!), some with weak scents and some not so nice undertones, most of them with intense scent, but bizzarely low aromatherapeutical effects. They BAM! throw their scent directly „in da face but have low to none aeomatherapeutical effect. I loved the Sambac of this other seller & (over)dosed it with 20% in alcohol as perfume. Then I bought this Absolue & was absolutely shocked of the strong „chlorine note of it. I talked to a professional aroma therapist & learned from her that this is a very common undertone of Jasmin Sambac. She advised me to dilute only 1% (not 20% like I did before) with alcohol. Meanwhile a 10% and a 7.5% dilution matured for some months and tadaaaaa, giving it the time and using less than I was used to made the magic happen: I now have a wonderful intense sambac dilution - more intense and on top cheaper than the other one I bought in Germany. Wow! Absolutely recommendable! :)

I enhanced with 6 drops of the jasmine absolute, the oriental pulse oil, which for me personally had a bit too much bergamot smell. Of course it came out a wonder of oriental fragrance, what could come out when you put a little bit of jasmine scent :)
